Hi Silvia, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I’m a stay-at-home mom originally from Ohio, and after moving around for my husband’s work, my family and I have finally landed in Tennessee. We’re excited to grow roots here, which is where the name North South Magnets comes from—honoring my Northern home while celebrating our Southern future.
The idea started when my mom suggested I try making custom magnets for a little extra income, and here we are! I’m thrilled to keep growing my home-based business and see where this journey takes me.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Like most new businesses, the journey didn’t start smoothly. There was plenty of trial and error as I learned how to create custom magnets and gathered everything needed to begin selling at local markets.

I create both personalized and premade mini magnets. You simply send me a photo from your phone, and I can turn it into a magnet on the spot! I’ve completed orders for everything from small businesses to party favors—the possibilities are endless.
What I’m most proud of is my customer service and attention to detail with every order. In today’s busy world, great customer service can be hard to find, and I truly strive to make sure every customer loves their magnets. I believe that’s what sets me apart. I’m based locally in Gallatin, TN, and I’m happy to ship anywhere or offer local delivery when possible.
Do you have recommendations for books, apps, blogs, etc?
The greatest resources in my life would be my family. I know that’s not a book or blog but they always provide me with the positive feedback, support and love that I need!
