Dallas, so good to connect and we’re excited to share your story and insights with our audience. There’s a ton to learn from your story, but let’s start with a warm up before we get into the heart of the interview. What are you most proud of building — that nobody sees?
Some of the best music I’ve ever made is rarely heard. As a producer, I collaborate with a wide range of artists—from emerging independents to major label acts—but it’s often the early-stage, independent artists with small followings that bring the most creative and technically challenging projects. Nashville is full of remarkable talent, and having a hand in shaping those first records—long before the world is listening—is the most rewarding part of what I do.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m a music producer and business owner of Spade Creative based in Nashville. I run a multimedia production company that specializes in music production, mixing, mastering, and creative direction for artists at every stage of their careers. What sets us apart is our ability to bridge high-level industry experience with a deep commitment to developing independent talent. I’ve worked with major-label artists as well as up-and-coming acts, and I take pride in creating a studio environment where both creativity and quality thrive.

Right now, I’m focused on scaling our artist services division and expanding our digital offerings to help more musicians build sustainable careers—both on and off the stage. Whether it’s producing a record, building a brand, or mapping out a release strategy, I treat every project like it’s my own.

Okay, so here’s a deep one: Who saw you clearly before you could see yourself?
I’ve been fortunate to have a few key mentors who saw something in me long before I understood it myself. They pushed me creatively, challenged me professionally, and helped shape both my work ethic and my mindset. Without their guidance, I wouldn’t be where I am today. I carry a deep sense of gratitude for the time, belief, and wisdom they invested in me—and I try to pay that forward with the artists and creatives I work with now. Their influence still echoes through everything I build.

What did suffering teach you that success never could?
Suffering taught me resilience in a way success never could. Being a business owner is often a lonely path—every decision, every setback, every outcome falls squarely on your shoulders. There’s no one to pass the pressure to. Through that weight, I’ve developed an unshakable sense of perseverance. It’s in the hard seasons—when things aren’t working, when no one’s watching—that I learned how to keep going. That grit is something success alone could never teach.

So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. What’s a belief or project you’re committed to, no matter how long it takes?
A wise friend once told me, “Do whatever it takes to get the job done right.” That’s a belief I’ve built my business on. Sometimes it means losing money on a project—but the priority is never shortcuts, it’s outcomes. We don’t exist without clients who walk away feeling their vision was fully realized. I’m committed to taking the time, doing the work, and going the extra mile to make sure the art we create matches the artist’s intent—no matter how what it takes.

Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. What do you think people will most misunderstand about your legacy?
People often assume my legacy will be built on what happened in the studio—but the real work happens behind the scenes. What they won’t see are the endless hours spent on business development, the weeks spent in coffee shops managing strategy, and the hundreds of emails, calls, and texts that keep the operation running. Production is the reward—that’s the dessert. The grind is in the logistics, the admin, the daily decisions that keep clients satisfied and the business alive. That’s the part most people will never understand, but it’s what makes everything else possible.
