Today we’d like to introduce you to Adrienne Kelley.
Hi Adrienne, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
In 1997, I threw my back out lifting heavy objects at work and was unable to stand. My mom took me to a chiropractor who suggested trying yoga. I bought a VHS beginner yoga tape and started from there. I fell in love right away because I was naturally flexible and it helped my back feel better. Most importantly, yoga asana taught me how to embody graceful movement through the mind/body connection. At 19, in my heart I knew I would teach yoga one day, however, I was so shy that seemed impossible and getting past that has been my journey.
Several years later, I began a daily meditation practice. I already had a spiritual practice of prayer in the morning but during my 20s, I really needed to hear God speak to ME. I needed to LISTEN. What started off as a 5 minute practice has grown to 2+ hours daily. Meditation kicked in my intuition. I started to get clarity through direct knowing, visions, songs, etc. I have healed trauma, had a kundalini awakening, learned to listen to my heart and completely changed my life from what I’ve learned through sitting in stillness. Meditation truly is my biggest passion!
In 2009 I got my massage license. Because of the kundalini awakening gifting me with the ability to feel energy, in 2021 I decided to get certified in Reiki. While in a Reiki group class, someone in class briefly mentioned a book called “The Sophia Code.” That book title was the only note I took that day and went home and immediately bought it. Reading the words in “The Sophia Code” felt like medicine and when meditating on it, I could feel my cells resonating with it. I started listening to Kaia Ra on YouTube daily and she became a spiritual teacher for me. I soon got certified to lead others through this powerful book in an experience called Sophia Circle Journeys.
During all of this time, I was married, had children and studied many modalities including aromatherapy, astrology, esthetics, pilates, health coaching and sound healing.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
In a way, it has not been smooth but really it was just about timing. I am passionate about so many things and want to share it all with the world. My family life, including having three children, all five years apart, has been my priority for the past 20 years. I am grateful I got to be home with them and being their mom has taught me so much. It opened my heart in a way that has prepared me for what Emerald Rose Wellness wants to become.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
Emerald Rose Wellness is a creative space designed to support others in their wellness journey. It is a fully customized experience that includes yoga asana and meditation, sound healing and massage. I like to include Earth elements such as aromatherapy, stone and herbal medicine, beautiful altars, etc into the space as well. Sophia Circle Journeys are held virtually and in person. I also facilitate sister circles at my private clients’ houses. My intentions with the business is to support and empower others to live their best life. I intend to include astrology and Human Design readings, as well as, coaching into my offerings soon. I also love collaborating with others to create something beautiful and transformative. Emerald Rose Wellness is truly just getting grounded and I am beyond excited to share this passion project with the world.
