Exploring Life & Business with Arthur Williams of State of the Art Security LLC

Today we’d like to introduce you to Arthur Williams.

Hi Arthur, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
State of the Art Security LLC started after I completed 10 years in law enforcement and corrections. I always had the passion for helping others so in light of leaving law enforcement, I wanted to continue serving within Security.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has not been a smooth road. With a numerous amount of security companies across Tennessee, including found myself not being able to find contracts, being under bidder, being lied on just so other can grab all the work. It terrible to see companies doing a bad job. Its seems as is they don’t care about their quality of work.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
State of the Art Security LLC is a Murfreesboro-based private security company known for providing professional armed and unarmed security, mobile patrols, executive protection, and site surveillance across Middle Tennessee. We specialize in construction site protection, residential and commercial property security, and high-profile event coverage—including work for national brands, professional sports organizations, and large-scale developments.

What truly sets us apart is our law enforcement foundation and our company’s flawless record of zero thefts across every major construction site we’ve secured. Our guards are former police officers and military veterans, trained to the highest standards in observation, deterrence, and response. As a certified Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) and a state-licensed handgun safety school, we take pride in not only protecting our clients but also training the next generation of security professionals.

We’re proud to be recognized as “Best Security Company in Murfreesboro 2025”, securing projects throughout Metro Nashville for companies such as CET Holdings, Avenue Construction, previous Ole South developments, Marett LLC, and many other construction firms and apartment communities across Middle Tennessee. Our executive protection division provides discreet, high-level security for major public figures, entertainers, and corporate executives, ensuring safety with professionalism and precision.

Our brand stands for integrity, professionalism, and unmatched reliability—values that have allowed us to grow debt-free and earn a reputation built on trust, results, and community partnerships.

At State of the Art Security, we believe security isn’t just about presence—it’s about prevention, preparedness, and professionalism. We don’t just watch properties—we protect people, progress, and peace of mind.

How do you define success?
At State of the Art Security LLC, success isn’t measured by numbers alone—it’s defined by trust, performance, and impact. Every day, we strive to protect people, property, and progress with integrity and excellence.

We define success by the confidence our clients place in us, the safety of every site we secure, and the zero-theft record we continue to uphold across Middle Tennessee. Success is when our guards go home safely after every shift, when our clients can rest easy knowing their investments are protected, and when our reputation speaks louder than any advertisement.

It’s also about growth without compromise—building a debt-free company rooted in professionalism, faith, and discipline. Success to us is maintaining a standard of excellence that never wavers, whether we’re protecting a construction site, a corporate office, or a public figure.

Ultimately, success at State of the Art Security means earning respect through results, leading with purpose, and continuing to set the benchmark for what true security should look like—reliable, professional, and unmatched.
