Today we’d like to introduce you to Brittany Ross.
Hi Brittany, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today.
I was a young aspiring photographer that’s been in the business for 5 years with a studio located in Paducah KY. Specializing in fine art weddings, luxury boudoirs, and live-action content. I got my start in the business of being creative behind the lens for a close family friend’s wedding and haven’t put down the camera since.
I’ve continued to grow in the business by opening my studio at the end of the pandemic in 2021. I’ve continued to capture the beauty and art that photography truly is showcasing and what it means to the public eye with 2 magazine covers while being featured in 10+ magazines. My personal biggest achievement so far in the industry would be the grand prize winner in ProPrint’s engagement and wedding portrait contest.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Nothing about being self-employed is easy. It is a constant battle of ups and downs and following the latest trends and making sure you don’t get behind on everything that is new and upcoming.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am a fine art wedding portrait and luxury boudoir photographer based in Kentucky and Tennessee and I travel worldwide. I would like to say I am known for my work alone. I provide a service that not only preserves the moments of your special day but elevates them.
My style combines everything I know about light, composition, and shadows, as well as my passion and creative drive. I have worked on my own unique techniques for working with couples and individuals who aren’t used to modeling comfortably and camera ready so they can relax and enjoy the experience.
If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
I grew up in rural Southern Illinois. My family farmed so I was outside a lot helping. I grew up riding horses, playing softball, dancing, and being a cheerleader.
