Hello! My name is Christie Hague, and I’m the owner of Hague Consulting, a website design firm. Born and raised in Huntsville, Alabama, I attended college in Boston, Massachusetts, where I earned my BS in Nursing. After several years in the nursing field and welcoming my first baby, I sought greater scheduling flexibility. That’s when I took a part-time role in a family business, focusing on marketing and website design. I fell in love with the work, and after a few years, I left nursing behind to launch my own firm. Today, my clients span from budding startups to large corporations and everything in between. My true passion lies in partnering with small businesses to create stunning, functional websites—handling the details so they can focus on what matters most: growing their business!
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
As a dedicated nurse in a high-pressure hospital, I faced a crossroads after my first child’s arrival. Long shifts clashed with motherhood, leaving me exhausted and seeking balance. Pivoting was daunting—leaving a stable career to dive into entrepreneurship, building a client base from scratch while learning marketing and design late into the night. Yet, this challenge ignited a fire, transforming an insurmountable hurdle into the foundation of a thriving business that empowers others to chase their dreams.

What would you say have been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
The greatest lesson from my journey has been to never underestimate my own potential. Transitioning to an entirely new career was incredibly challenging, fraught with imposter syndrome that held me back initially. Yet, with time—and the satisfaction of delighted clients—I’ve grown confident that this path was right for my life and I am incredibly grateful.
