Exploring Life & Business with Cordale Jamal of Adoskope

Today we’d like to introduce you to Cordale Jamal.

Hi Cordale , so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Long before my entrepreneurial endeavors, I was pursuing my dream of playing in the NFL. That dream carried me to the University of Arkansas, where I had the privilege of competing as a Division I football player. Football challenged me in ways that extended far beyond the field. It taught me discipline, resilience, teamwork, and what it truly means to pursue excellence every single day.

I’ve also always been a creative at heart. As my journey evolved, I found myself drawn to the world of fashion. Fashion taught me that great design is never just about aesthetics; it’s about storytelling, intention, emotion, and creating something that leaves a lasting impression. Looking back, the locker room and the design studio weren’t as different as they seemed. Both demanded vision, preparation, adaptability, and the ability to execute under pressure.

As my interests continued to evolve, I became fascinated by the intersection of creativity, branding, business, and strategy. I realized I wasn’t just passionate about designing products. I was passionate about designing businesses, brands, and experiences that help organizations grow. That realization ultimately led me to co-found Adoskope.

While building that vision, I also served in law enforcement. That chapter of my life didn’t define my creativity; it strengthened it. Law enforcement sharpened my leadership, resilience, communication, and ability to remain calm under pressure. It reinforced the importance of systems, accountability, and service principles that continue to shape how I lead and solve problems today.

Today, as Co-Founder and Chief Growth Officer of Adoskope, I have the opportunity to bring every chapter of my journey together. My creative foundation allows me to see possibilities others might miss. My experience as a Division I athlete reminds me that meaningful results come from consistency, preparation, and teamwork. My time in law enforcement taught me to lead with discipline and integrity. Together, those experiences enable me to help organizations transform ambitious ideas into scalable growth through strategy, branding, marketing, and business development.

Looking back, my path may not have been conventional, but every chapter served a purpose. Football gave me grit. Fashion gave me vision. Law enforcement gave me discipline. Entrepreneurship gave me purpose. Together, they’ve shaped the leader I am today and continue to fuel my passion for helping people and businesses create opportunity in an imperfect world.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Not at all!…and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

I’ve always believed that growth requires risk, and one of the biggest bets I’ve ever taken was on myself. After being accepted into the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising (FIDM), I packed up my life and moved to Los Angeles to pursue my dream of becoming a fashion designer. It was an unforgettable chapter filled with creativity, inspiration, and the excitement of chasing a lifelong dream.

Then, in February 2020, everything changed.

Like millions of others, the pandemic forced me to confront a reality I never anticipated. The fashion industry came to a halt almost overnight, and the future I had envisioned suddenly became uncertain. If there’s one thing my life has taught me, it’s how to pivot. That unexpected setback led me back home, where I made the decision to pursue a career in law enforcement, a path I never imagined for myself but one that ultimately became one of the most transformative seasons of my life.

Building Adoskope has brought a different set of challenges. Starting a business means navigating uncertainty, earning trust, wearing multiple hats, and making difficult decisions with limited resources. There have been long nights, setbacks, and moments where the vision seemed much bigger than the reality. But every obstacle has challenged me to become a stronger leader, a better strategist, and a more resilient entrepreneur.

One of the greatest lessons I’ve learned is that success isn’t built on talent alone, it’s built on the willingness to adapt without losing sight of your purpose. Every pivot in my life, from football to fashion, from fashion to law enforcement, and from law enforcement to entrepreneurship, has prepared me for the next chapter.

Today, I don’t look at those moments as detours. I see them as divine preparation. They gave me the perspective to lead with empathy, the discipline to execute with excellence, and the confidence to bet on myself. Those experiences are the reason I’m so passionate about helping businesses navigate change, embrace opportunity, and build something meaningful that lasts.

We’ve been impressed with Adoskope, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Adoskope began in 2017 when three line brothers of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated discovered that the first letters of their boat names formed a word of their own: Adoskope. What began as a shared home for creative expression across fashion, music, photography, and visual art gradually evolved into something much greater. Through years of experimentation, collaboration, and creative production, we learned how powerful creativity becomes when connected to strategy and opportunity.

Today, we’re a creative and growth agency that partners with startups, established brands, government organizations, and nonprofits to solve business challenges through strategy, creativity, marketing, advertising, and business development. We don’t see ourselves as another agency that simply delivers projects. We strive to become an extension of our clients’ leadership teams, helping them make smarter decisions, build stronger brands, and create sustainable growth.

What makes Adoskope different is that we don’t separate creativity from business strategy. Too often, companies invest in beautiful branding that doesn’t drive results or marketing campaigns that lack a clear brand foundation. We believe growth happens when strategy, brand, creative, media, and business development work together as one connected system.

Our work spans brand strategy and identity, creative direction, advertising, media planning and buying, content strategy, business development, growth consulting, and go-to-market planning. Whether we’re helping a founder launch their first product or supporting an established organization through its next stage of growth, our focus is always the same: create work that moves businesses forward.

More than anything, I’m proud of the reputation we’re building. We want to be known as trusted growth partners, not vendors. Our clients trust us because we ask the hard questions, challenge assumptions, and genuinely care about their success. We measure our impact by the opportunities we help create, not just the deliverables we produce.

At the heart of Adoskope is our belief that every business has the potential to create meaningful impact with the right strategy, the right partners, and the right execution. Our mission is reflected in our tagline: “Create Opportunity in an Imperfect World.” That isn’t just a slogan! it’s the standard we hold ourselves to every day.

As we continue to grow, our goal is simple: to build an agency recognized not only for exceptional creative work, but for helping organizations become stronger, more resilient, and better positioned for long-term success.

Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
I’m grateful to have a small but incredibly impactful support system. Rather than list everyone’s name and risk leaving someone out, I’d rather recognize the people who have consistently poured into me throughout this journey.

First and foremost, my parents deserve more credit than I could ever give them. They are the driving force behind everything I do. Whether it was words of encouragement, showing up when it mattered most, or simply believing in me long before the vision became reality, they’ve always been in my corner. That unwavering belief gave me the confidence to bet on myself time and time again.

Alongside my parents, I’ve been incredibly blessed to have Tricia and Andy Woodmen in my corner. I have to give them credit for believing in me, pouring into me, and showing me what life could look like when you dream bigger for yourself. Both built and ran incredible businesses, and having the opportunity to witness firsthand how they set a vision, led, and created something of their own had a lasting impact on me. More than mentors, they’ve become like a second mother and father to me, and their influence has played an important role in shaping the person and entrepreneur I am today.

I also have to give a tremendous amount of credit to my co-founders. Building a business isn’t easy, and entrepreneurship can be incredibly lonely without the right people by your side. They continue to challenge me, advance our vision, and share my commitment to building something that makes a meaningful difference. Adoskope exists because of our collective belief that we could create something bigger than ourselves.

Finally, I want to recognize our team. While they may work from different parts of the world, they share the same passion, commitment, and belief in our mission. Their dedication, creativity, and willingness to go the extra mile have played a significant role in our growth, and I’m incredibly grateful to have them as part of our journey.

At the end of the day, no success story is built alone. Mine certainly isn’t. It’s been shaped by people who believed in me, challenged me, encouraged me, and chose to build alongside me. For that, I’ll always be thankful.

And finally, a big shoutout to my Tribe and the Biggest Empire. Thank you for the constant encouragement, the accountability, the laughs, the prayers, and for always reminding me to keep going. Your support means more than you know, and I’m grateful to have each of you in my corner. I want to give a special shoutout to my first O-Line coach, Coach Berry may he rest in peace.
