Exploring Life & Business with Craig Parman of Que’d up 615

Today we’d like to introduce you to Craig Parman.

Hi Craig, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I was actually an electrician for 25 years, and I found i had a passion for BBQ and started competing with a team, Boars Night Out. I wanted to open a BBQ business so i started a food trailer, and was also doing some catering, still a full time electrician. I had a buddy, Andy, who owns a distillery, and he loved my BBQ so he would have me set up at his place and sell at his business. Andy decided to move his distillery so i decided to take the trailer and move it indoors. Andy invested in my business and I moved into the building that he had his distillery in, and Que’d up 615 opened its doors in November 2023. We have grown so much in the last 2.5 years. We offer phenomenal food, a full bar, and live music.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has been the hardest thing I have ever done. I started this with basically no money and if i didn’t start making money on day one I was going to have to go back to being an electrician. Learning how to operate an entire restaurant with zero experience has been a challenge. We have stuck it out, so far we have been successful and we continue to grow.

As you know, we’re big fans of Que’d up 615. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
We are a craft BBQ restaurant we use all locally sourced produce, good quality meats, boars night out seasonings. We smoke all of our own meat in house. We are known for our unique flavors of award winning smoke/fried chicken wings, we serve award winning steaks that sell out every week, we have won awards for our restaurant every year we have been open. We have an extensive collection of libations. We have live music every weekend and host some great bands.

Do you have any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
Traveling with my dad when he worked on racecars, and selling merch for a dirt track team.
