Today we’d like to introduce you to Crystal Brown.
Hi Crystal, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today.
After graduating from high school I left Nolensville TN for college with the intent of being a physical therapist.
As far as I was concerned it was going to be amazing. Well after pursuing that dream for 6 years I finally got the memo that it wasn’t what I was supposed to do with my life. I had never asked God what He wanted me to do with the life He had given me. I mean growing up you are asked what you want to be and what you want to do when you grow up.
This was when I began saying things like, “God there has to be more to life than this.” “There’s no way you created me to go to a job that stresses me out, head to a second job, go to bed, and wake up the next day only to do it all again.” Around this time seemingly random doors were opening in front of me for things I felt extremely unqualified to do. Yet something in me knew it was the right thing to pursue. As a result of saying yes to getting involved with the college ministry at my church, I began to realize what I had been created to do all along.
I was created to use my voice to encourage, impact, and lead people to the transformation they desperately need.
Let’s keep in mind growing up I didn’t even really like my voice. Fast forward to today, I am the CEO & Founder of Created To Be Consulting, a faith-based coaching practice, and strategic consulting firm. Created To Be Consulting exists to educate, empower, and equip women and organizations all over the world to become the version of themselves that God always created them to be with a focus on identity, mindset, purpose, solutions management, strategic partnerships, realizing as well as executing vision both strategically and sustainably for long-lasting transformation. I believe when we do what we were created to do living a fulfilled life is inevitable.
In 2019, I founded She Will Not Fail which is a christ-centered and community-focused oasis for women. We exist to empower and equip women to live fearlessly in the face of adversity by reclaiming their rightful identity and authority as daughters of the Highest God. Honestly, She Will Not Fail is a lifestyle and a continuous reminder that we fight for victory not for it because we were born to win.
Don’t think for a second that doors stop showing up that we feel inadequate to walk through but we have a choice.
Walk through the door and evolve or stay put and remain the same. In September 2021 another door opened in front of me. This time it was to create and host my own radio show, right here in Nashville on 760AM The Gospel. The Show is called Let’s Talk Yes and it’s all about expanding our expectations of life by getting into alignment and saying yes to those doors meant for us that we may feel underqualified to walk through.
These are just a few of the ways I have the privilege of using my voice to empower others to become the version they were created to be and it blows me away every time I think about it. There’s nothing like being fulfilled by what you get to do daily. No, everyday isn’t rainbows and butterflies but every part of the journey is worth it.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It’s been a wild ride for sure! Looking back over the last 10 years there’s been much uncertainty, fear, and so many questions. I can honestly say with all the bumps it’s still been worth it!
For me, the biggest challenge was having to resolve not having all the answers or knowing how it would all work out. I still don’t have all those answers but I do know that trusting God is always worth it. He keeps proving that to me.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Through Created To Be Consulting I help women live fulfilled lives by executing an aligned vision for their life. I help organizations to strategically establish & execute the vision to take the idea out of their head and heart and get it out into the world in a sustainable way. Generally speaking, I specialize in vision execution. I am known for the strategic way I solve problems and triage challenges.
My ability and desire to get into the journey with my clients and walk it out with them set me apart. I am most proud of helping people to transform their lives and get out of the ruts that are so easy to find ourselves living in.
I want readers to know that they deserve to because the purest form of themselves and I would love to help them along the journey to achieving that reality.
What’s next?
Currently, I am finalizing plans for the She Will Not Fail Women’s Empowerment Conference happening on March 24th & 25th. For the last five years, I have hosted faith-based empowerment events for women in the city of Nashville.
This year we have expanded into a conference and I couldn’t be more excited to see the transformation that takes place during that weekend. I am looking forward to building She Will Not Fail into the oasis that God showed me it can be for women in Nashville as well as surrounding areas.
