Today we’d like to introduce you to Ellie Bailey. 

Hi Ellie, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Hairstyling and salon ownership have been a dream of mine since I was young. After high school, I went to Freed-Hardeman University to study Business Management to lay the foundation of my career. Following that, I attended Aveda Institute to study all things hair and makeup. I worked hard and dedicated my time to advancing my craft. Little did I know that I would be able to achieve the dream of opening my own hair salon by the age of 22. I chose my location to be in the heart of Brentwood, TN very specifically because it’s my hometown and it holds a special place in my heart. At Ellie Bailey Hair Co. guests can enjoy being pampered in a private, relaxing environment. Blondes and Invisible Bead Extensions are what the salon is known for—but don’t worry, I love my brunettes too! Outside of the salon, it is of key importance for me to always continue my education and stay up to date with the latest trends so I can give my guests the best. Hair health and hair goals are of utmost importance to me. Helping people achieve that is something special. I have learned that if you put your mind to it, you can do anything! 

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I wouldn’t say it has been easy. It has been difficult at times. There are a lot of factors that go into being a business owner, but when I look back to see how far I’ve come, it is so rewarding. Once I opened a place of my own, the hard work didn’t stop there. I have goals to reach and a clear vision how to achieve them. Ellie Bailey Hair Co. is on an upward progression of bringing the best styles and hair care to her valued guests. 

What does success mean to you?
Success to me isn’t defined by the number in my bank account. Instead, it is when I can see all the relationships I’ve made that have changed me for the better. Success is when I have put countless hours and poured my heart and soul into something and then can look back to see the difference I have made in people’s lives. Nothing beats someone leaving my chair with a big smile on their face. That alone gives me so much joy. Growing day by day and never giving up is the root to success.
