Exploring Life & Business with Heather Dawn of Heather Dawn Tarot/ Star Healers

Today we’d like to introduce you to Heather Dawn.

Hi Heather, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
From a very young age, I have been able to see the unseen. Sometimes that looked like visions of light beings or shadow forms, other times it came through prophetic dreams, waking visions, or a deep sensitivity to the auric and energetic fields of others. Messages, sensations, images, and knowings have always found their way to me — what I now understand as a sacred channel of Spirit.

I grew up in the foothills of Appalachia within a strict Christian household where these abilities were not understood or supported. For much of my early life, I carried them quietly, unsure of what they meant or how to hold them. It’s taken me years — and a long journey of unlearning, healing, and remembering — to arrive at a place of trust and reverence for this gift.

My connection to Spirit has guided me through immense personal transformation. I’ve walked through deep darkness and trauma, and it was through my spiritual connection that I found safety, healing, and the courage to return home to myself. Over the past two decades, I’ve cultivated a relationship with the unseen that now grounds me, empowers me, and continually reveals the beauty and meaning woven through all things.

Today, it’s my honor to hold space for others as they discover that same light within themselves. Through intuitive tarot readings, ceremony, and my signature offering — Star Healers — I guide others in reconnecting to their own inner wisdom and self-healing. My work is never about being the healer, but about helping others remember that they are.

Star Healers is a sacred journey of self-empowerment, spiritual exploration, and embodied healing. It weaves together community, ceremony, and multidimensional tools to help each participant return home to their truth — to feel safe in their body, to recognize their divine light, and to anchor peace and joy into their everyday life.

This path has taught me that healing is not about becoming something new, but about remembering who we’ve always been: whole, radiant, and deeply connected to Spirit.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The road has not always been smooth. In truth, the first 25 to 30 years of my life were very dark. I faced many challenges around what it meant to be in a feminine body — to feel safe, seen, and sovereign within that experience. My teenage years and early twenties, especially, were shadowed by trauma and pain that took me a long time to acknowledge and begin to heal. Yet even in the darkest times, Spirit was always near — guiding me, whispering, holding me in ways I could not yet understand.

Now, in my 40s, I can say that I have truly embraced healing in those realms. It has been a long and deeply transformative path toward self-love — learning to trust myself, my intuition, my body, and my connection with Spirit. That trust has become the foundation of my life and my work.

The key to transformation, for me, has always been trust — expansive trust in myself and in my relationship with the Divine. When we learn to trust our inner knowing, we begin to experience safety within, authentic self-love, true acceptance, aligned success, and the ability to call in beautiful, supportive community. And perhaps most importantly, we discover a profound sense of peace.

Before stepping fully onto this spiritual path, I spent most of my professional life working in nonprofit organizations — doing meaningful work, yet always feeling the quiet pull of something deeper calling me home. Choosing to leave that world and follow a more unconventional, soul-led path was not easy. It was risky and required surrender, but it has been the most empowering choice of my life.

This journey has completely transformed the way I understand prosperity, success, and identity. I no longer measure those things through external structures but through inner peace, alignment, and the impact of helping others return home to themselves.

Through this path — I’ve come to embody the essence of my purpose. My work now, whether through tarot, ceremony, or Star Healers, is born from that lived experience. It’s an offering to others who are ready to step into their own transformation, to remember their power, to heal, and to find peace within.

We’ve been impressed with Heather Dawn Tarot/ Star Healers, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
A question I’m often asked is how I first began reading tarot. I’ve been connected to the cards for nearly 30 years. In the early years, tarot was a deeply personal practice — something I turned to for my own healing, reflection, and spiritual connection. I would occasionally read for close friends and family, but it was an intimate, private part of my life.

It wasn’t until about five years ago that I felt called to open my practice to the public. That decision marked a major turning point in my path — transforming something that had always been a personal tool for insight into a way of serving others on their own healing journeys.

Since then, intuitive tarot readings have become the foundation of my work and the heart of my spiritual service. Tarot opened the doorway for me to begin supporting others in finding clarity, trusting their intuition, and reconnecting to the wisdom of their own soul.

In 2025, my work began to expand in a powerful new way with the birth of Star Healers — a three-month transformational experience that I launched during the Summer Solstice of 2025. The first round brought together 11 women and feminine-identifying beings, carrying us from the Solstice to the Autumnal Equinox in a cycle of deep healing, empowerment, and remembrance.

Throughout that season, we gathered for four group ceremonies, and I met with each participant in private one-on-one sessions every two weeks. Each woman journeyed through her own unique path — guided to the places within that were ready for peace, clarity, and renewal. Our work together included tarot readings, psychic channeling, private and group ceremony, and many moments of profound spiritual integration.

That inaugural experience was deeply transformative — not just for the participants, but for me as a facilitator. It offered immense insight into how community and ceremony can support healing at both the individual and collective levels.

Looking ahead, 2026 will bring a greater expansion of Star Healers. The program will open to all genders and include specific focus groups and offerings designed to meet people where they are on their healing journeys.

Beyond Star Healers, I also offer private tarot parties for special occasions — from bachelorette gatherings to birthdays, girls’ nights, and even weddings. I’ve also had the honor of teaching tarot workshops and leading ceremonial offerings at retreats, and I’m currently in the process of designing multiple retreats for the coming years.

At the heart of everything I offer is my one-on-one work — private intuitive tarot sessions that allow for deep connection, insight, and ongoing transformation. Many of my clients have been with me since the very beginning, and it is such a profound joy to witness their growth over time — watching them step into their healing, align with their truth, and embody their personal power.

Star Healers is, in many ways, an evolution of that relationship work — a sacred space for accelerated transformation, collective healing, and remembrance of our innate wholeness.

Who else deserves credit in your story?
As profound as it may seem, my upbringing in the Primitive Baptist tradition was a deeply meaningful foundation for me. My father is a Baptist minister, and growing up in the church instilled in me a profound sense of community, devotion, and service. Devotion to Spirit, yes, but also devotion to others — helping your brother and sister, showing up fully for those around you. While I don’t align with every aspect of the church today, I am deeply grateful for the early connection to Spirit that first began there and for the values of care, commitment, and integrity that shaped me.

I am especially grateful for my father. Even though we may speak different languages spiritually, we are connected to the same source, and that bond continues to be a guiding light in my life.

I have been blessed beyond measure with friends and loved ones who have been a constant source of love, encouragement, and support. It is truly a gift in life to have people who trust your path, celebrate your choices, and hold space for you as you step into your truth. Many of my closest friendships have been anchors as I’ve pursued this unconventional spiritual path, encouraging me to follow my calling, even when it has required risk, vulnerability, or stepping away from the familiar.

I am equally grateful to my clients, many of whom I have worked with for years. Their bravery, trust, and commitment to their own healing have created profound relationships and continually remind me why I do this work.

There are also mentors and influences in my life whose presence has been transformative. Jennifer Harvard of Gaia Sisterhood has been a profound inspiration, showing me how to cultivate authentic sisterhood and sacred community. Kim Collins and other women of power have shown me the beauty and necessity of embodying one’s truth in a way that is unconventional, unapologetic, and deeply needed in this world. Their examples continue to shape and inform my practice, guiding me in holding space for others with integrity, love, and courage.
