Hi Kelly, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Hello first of everything I want to thank for the invitation, my name is Kelly. I am 24 years old. I was born in Chicago and raised in Mexico. I describe myself as a productive, independent, hardworking, and family-oriented woman. My world revolves around my small family, and I come from a background of hard work and perseverance. I discovered my passion for business at the age of 14, when I began selling my mother’s clothes at my father’s venue. From that moment, I knew entrepreneurship was part of who I am. My favorite part of business is facing challenges that push me to act without limits. I find great fulfillment in seeing our employees grow into better individuals and in knowing that, through our company, many families are supported and provided for.
I am proud of how far I have come and of everything I have overcome in life. I strongly believe that it is not about how hard life hits you, but about how much you can endure and still keep moving forward. Everything that happens in life has a purpose, and I am proud of every step of my journey.
Before founding this company, I was involved in other business ventures, which led me to create this current project alongside my mother, Elsa who has always been my greatest motivation. She is an incredibly hardworking woman, an angel in my life, and someone who never knows how to say no to her children. I have a younger brother his name is William as the older sister I am very compromised with myself to set the best example to him with my values & moral. Will is my favorite person he is the person who I love more. He has believed on this project since always.
CLEAN & CO USA is a family-owned project founded two years ago. It is built on hard work, love, sacrifice, and the dedication of our employees and ourselves. We continue moving forward, day by day, writing this chapter together.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
This journey has not been easy—not even close. I started this project knowing no one, with no connections, no support system, and no shortcuts. I started from zero, driven only by faith, determination, and the belief that I could build something meaningful. Every step required courage, and many moments required me to keep going even when fear and uncertainty were overwhelming.
Leading a company with 15 employees is both an honor and a heavy responsibility. There are days when the pressure feels immense, knowing that livelihoods depend on every decision I make and that everything can change from one day to the next. Entrepreneurship is not a straight path; it is a constant test of resilience, filled with surprises, setbacks, and lessons that shape you into the person you are becoming. The stress can reach its limits, but it has taught me discipline, strength, and humility. We are deeply committed to protecting our reputation—being honest, reliable, and trustworthy in everything we do. The rough road we have walked did not break us; it prepared us for greater challenges and bigger opportunities ahead. Being young in business has often meant having to prove myself twice as hard. Trust is not given easily, and doubt is common. But in the end, results speak louder than age or assumptions. Every satisfied client, every completed job, and every family supported through our company confirms that this journey—no matter how difficult—has been worth it.
We’ve been impressed with 2, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
We deliver high-quality cleaning solutions for commercial and industrial facilities, offering expert janitorial services. We also specialize in managing and executing construction cleaning projects from start to finish. Our services are available 365 days a year, and no cleaning challenge is too big or too small—we can handle any solution you need.
We proudly serve all of Tennessee, including Middle Tennessee, Knoxville, Chattanooga, and Memphis, and we are now expanding our services to Birmingham, Alabama. Our company is legally licensed & insured.
Before we go, is there anything else you can share with us?
I would love to share with our readers that persistence and discipline are always the key. Many of us wait until we feel “perfectly ready” to start a business, but the truth is, you learn what you need along the way. Sometimes the path takes you in completely unexpected directions.
You don’t have to feel motivated and inspired every day. What truly matters is believing in yourself and working hard and smart every single day. Success doesn’t happen overnight—it requires patience, dedication, and resilience.
I remember when we first started, we took an opportunity three hours from home once a month. At the time, I didn’t hesitate, even though it was far and challenging. Over time, I realized that particular account wasn’t the best fit, but that experience laid the foundation for what we have today. I would never forget that value moments between my mother and I doing a lot of sacrifice. Now, we operate 17 buildings, 365 days a year, and we proudly partner with honorable contractors who trust us to handle their projects with excellence.
I have always run this business with the purpose of creating opportunities for my employees. Without them, CLEAN & CO USA would not be who we are today. Every success we achieve is a shared victory, and every challenge is a lesson that pushes us to grow stronger. I would never know how hard would be tomorrow but that is not going to stop me because I believe on myself, my family does it too and my team does it to an is what it counts for me.
