Exploring Life & Business with Kyrie Klopke of Refined Living Company

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kyrie Klopke.

Hi Kyrie, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I grew up in a small town where relationships mattered and your word was everything. People did business face-to-face, took pride in their work, and understood that integrity was how a business truly thrived. That mindset shaped me long before I ever considered owning one.

After working in social work, I became a mom to two awesome—and very energetic—boys. Balancing family life with a full-time career was challenging, so my home became my retreat: a place I could invite others into without stress and where my family could truly connect. I had always been an organized person, but this season of life sharpened those skills in a deeper way. Before long, I began bringing what I was doing into the homes of gracious friends and family as a kind of “test run.” I loved the work immediately and knew I wanted to help as many families as I could.

I built my business slowly and intentionally, carrying those small-town values with me—honest communication, hard work, and doing things the right way even when no one is watching. Today, through Refined Living Co., we create thoughtful, functional systems for busy families, always with the belief that trust is earned and homes should be handled with care. That foundation continues to guide everything we do.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Like most meaningful things, it hasn’t been a completely smooth road. Building a business while raising young children required a lot of stretching—emotionally, physically, and mentally. There were seasons of uncertainty, learning to trust myself, and figuring out how to balance being present at home while also growing something from the ground up.

I’ve been incredibly blessed to have a supportive husband who speaks belief over me in the moments I need it most. Along the way, I’ve also found a strong community of professional organizers—both locally and beyond—who have offered encouragement, shared wisdom, and helped me navigate the many challenges that come with business ownership.

Looking back, those challenges shaped the way I work today. They reinforced the importance of trust, clear communication, and grace—both for myself and for the families I serve. The road wasn’t always easy—and still isn’t—but I’m blessed to be on this journey.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Refined Living Co. is a professional home organizing company rooted in the belief that our homes should support the lives we’re living—not add to the overwhelm. We work primarily with busy families, helping them create thoughtful, functional systems that feel calm, intuitive, and sustainable.

What sets us apart is our intentional approach. We don’t believe in one-size-fits-all solutions or organizing for the sake of aesthetics alone. Instead, we take the time to understand how each family functions day to day and design systems that truly work for them. Our process is hands-on, collaborative, and always centered on trust—because being invited into someone’s home is personal.

Brand-wise, I’m most proud of the way we’ve built Refined Living Co. with integrity at the core. From clear communication to honoring our commitments, we aim to create an experience that feels thoughtful and respectful from start to finish. Our goal isn’t just to organize a space, but to leave families feeling supported, confident, and more at ease in their own homes.

What I hope readers take away is that organizing doesn’t have to feel overwhelming or transactional. When done with care and intention, it can be a meaningful investment in your home, your time, and your peace of mind.

My goal with each client is to take the mental and physical load off your plate so you can focus on what truly matters—whether that’s hosting friends without stress, making memories with your kids, or simply enjoying a home that feels like a retreat instead of another task to manage.

At a very simple level, we offer decluttering, organizing, moving and unpacking services to busy professionals and families in the Nashville area.

Do you any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
Easy—vacation. Growing up in a hardworking family, there wasn’t often extra for trips, but one year my parents made it possible for us to spend a weekend at a waterpark an hour away. It was epic. Now, as a mom, my husband and I work hard to create those same special moments, making time for trips that let us connect and make lasting memories with our kids.
