Exploring Life & Business with Laura Hartley of TNLittles

Today we’d like to introduce you to Laura Hartley.

Hi Laura, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Hi! I’m Laura, mom to Zeke, Asher & Maren and wife to Todd. I work part time as the librarian at Waverly Belmont Elementary, and run TNLittles the other part. TNLittles started in May of 2021. Businesses weren’t quite back post-Covid, and a group of local mamas and businesses organically formed on Instagram during this time to share ideas of kid-friendly things to do around town, as well as host classes (music, art, story times, etc.) I was (and still am) working part-time as a school librarian, and a part-time stay-at-home mom. 

It seemed natural to share the things we were already doing at home and reviews on the places we were visiting. I continue to offer pop-up story times and often share literacy-based activities and ideas on my IG. I continue to share reviews on kid-friendly activities and restaurants around Nashville, as well as family-friendly traveling opportunities. 

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
TNLittles is an Instagram account that shares kid-friendly activities around Nashville and beyond. Being a parent is hard & I have found so much support in the Instagram world in the simple act of sharing ideas. I share reviews on parks, events, restaurants, and more. I also host pop-up story times at various businesses around Nashville. 

These story times consist of an interactive reading and end with some sort of craft so that families can continue to socialize. I always send families home with more ideas to extend their fun too! I’ve enjoyed the community that has been built among local moms and caregivers who meet up for story times — making Nashville feel like a small town at times. Additionally, TNLittles hosts camp each summer! 

What are your plans for the future?
I am looking forward to sharing more kid-friendly outings in Nashville! 

I am hoping to add more storytime opportunities around town as well. I’ll also be sharing more family travel — featuring many places that are not far from Nashville.
