Exploring Life & Business with Lauren Grandinetti of Sunday Skin

Today we’d like to introduce you to Lauren Grandinetti.

Hi Lauren, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Originally from Chicago, I started as a NICU nurse at a high acuity children’s hospital in downtown Chicago. After almost two years, I ventured south and moved to Nashville with a job in the Vanderbilt Adult Emergency Department. I spent five years treating trauma patients and eventually pursued my master’s degree to become a Family Nurse Practitioner. It was during this time; I started to reevaluate the trajectory of my career and made the switch to dermatology and aesthetics. I spent most of my adolescence in a dermatologist office, treating cystic acne, and felt a pull to start helping patients with their skin. As my exposure to aesthetics grew, I searched for a clinic that was approachable for the everyday patient. From there, Sunday Skin was born in an effort to create an environment I would want to visit as a patient. Sunday Skin’s mission has three pillars: approachability, affordability, and accessibility demonstrating to patients that aesthetics can be for everyone and helping them achieve their Sunday Best Skin.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
As someone whose background is entirely in medicine, business was a foreign territory. I spent weeks researching, talking with state boards and figuring out how to set up a medical clinic. Learning operations, hiring, and managing an office was new terrain. Sunday Skin also grew so quickly, we ended up expanding into a new space less than one year from open!

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Sunday Skin?
