Exploring Life & Business with Lee A. Bryant III of Bryant Family Roots

Today we’d like to introduce you to Lee A. Bryant III.

Hi Lee, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I was born and raised in Nashville, TN. As a young adult I spent most of my free time traveling, playing sports, and staying busy in summer programs. In middle school, a lot of my time went towards programs like Black Achievers, The Boys & Girls Club, and the Fisk Rocket Science Club, where I learned to build rockets alongside professionals. In high school, I was active on the Varsity Football Team, Auto-mechanics, and Student Government Association and eventually was crowned Prom King. After graduating from Maplewood High School, I received a full ride to Tennessee State University. With a long history of Agriculture that runs in the Bryant Family. I chose to stick to my roots. I finished with a B.S. in Agriculture Business. I became an Ambassador for the College of Agriculture for a few years and the President’s Host for the John A Merritt Classic. Outside of school work, a few internships as a Thurgood Marshall Scholar, and my community involvement, I traveled to Expos, Summits, and Etiquette School across the country to strengthen my skills in different areas that would help me progress through life. I looked at it as a way of expanding my capability. I graduated with a USDA Job Offer as an Economist in Washington, D.C., where I conducted research on Drought Tolerant Corn Seeds at the George Washington Carver Research Center. Years later, I relocated to Dallas, TX, where I secured government contracts to assist Small Businesses in gaining access to business loans and disaster funding during the Covid-19 pandemic. During this time I was able to become a silent investor/stake holder of a few properties. One a Vineyard in California and a Multifamily Apartment Building in Arizona to name a few. I completed my Master of Science in Hospitality & Tourism Management from Florida International University in Miami, FL. While working on my Masters I was able to visit Central Europe to Study Abroad in the Czech Republic at a Federal Bank. Outside of my many hobbies like Fishing, Golfing, collecting Coins, Reading, and collecting Classic Cars I am now the opening manager at the Nashville International Airport, opening 6 new restaurants. My love for fashion, travel, and interest in the luxurious lifestyle took me to Mendoza, Argentina, at age 20, to Study Abroad, where I developed a love for Merlot and Malbec Wine. I studied wine and worked alongside an agronomist in Uco Valley at a few world-renowned vineyards, where the owner became one of my mentors. I was inspired by the rich heritage of the family-owned vineyards and decided I would be a first-generation owner myself. Bryant Family Roots was founded, and this was the start of a new journey of adding to the deep legacy of the Bryant Family Roots.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
