Today we’d like to introduce you to Leslie Cappello.
Hi Leslie, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstories.
A few years ago, after going through a major life change (divorce) I realized I wanted to do something I truly had a passion for and not something I just made money at. I left my life in the medical field and chased my passion of music. I had an opportunity to work with a local musician helping him on the PR and marketing side of his career. I fell in love and knew this was what I was meant to do. I had a lunch meeting with my now business partner, Tia Welsh while putting together logistics for a show my artist and her artist were playing together. We made a joke about becoming a team of 2 powerful women both raising daughters of our own to show them what truly matters. Well, 2 years later and we are now based out of PA and Nashville working with a list of over 25 artists. We help with all aspects of their career from booking shows to artist development and everything in between.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Definitely not. We haven’t always been taken seriously. As two women who were new to the music industry, we have been questioned, doubted, and even laughed at for trying to do anything in this field. I, Leslie, am 48 years old starting a new endeavor so a lot of people questioned why I was doing this. We have had to work extra hard to prove our worth and what we can do. Music, in general, is a very male-dominated industry, especially country music. We are breaking down walls and will continue to work extra hard to prove we have what it takes to make a difference and help the local artists who are trying to make their dreams come true.
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about CappelloWelsh Management?

What were you like growing up?
Tia and I both come from 2 very strong female role models (our moms). They did what they had to make sure we had what we needed and knew who we were. We were both tomboys growing up and didn’t take crap from anyone. We both have very strong personalities and know what we want. I, Leslie, grew up in northern new jersey riding horses in my spare time. That was my first true love and still is to this day and is something I now share with my 12-year-old daughter. Tia was a hard-core athlete playing softball. Our goal now is to be amazing role models for our children who range in ages from 12-15.
I, Leslie, am a single mom and feel the need to prove I’ve made all the right choices. The biggest one is chasing a dream not for the money but for the passion, I feel for what I’m doing now in the music industry.
