Today we’d like to introduce you to Logan Allan.
Hi Logan, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Growing up I’ve always been involved with music in some way shape or form. Whether it be plays, musicals, or just standing on the coffee table playing fake guitar in front of my family singing my heart out, I was always performing. If there is anything that has stayed constant, it’s my family always being there to support me.
When I was about 14 years old I met a young musician named Josh. He could play so many instruments, sing, rap, and was an extremely talented writer. He taught me my first guitar chords and inspired me to start writing my own songs. I sucked at first and I knew that. He told me. But he never told me to stop. So I kept working on writing and got better and better. After a few years we started to drift apart and only called a few times a year to check up on each other and to talk about anything music. Out of nowhere while I’m at work I see a post on someone’s story saying “RIP Josh”. I couldn’t believe it. My biggest inspiration is gone. Literally not on this earth anymore. That broke me. From now on, I do music because of him. For him. I would do anything just to make one song with him. If anyone asks me who my dream feature would be, it will always be Josh.
Later down the line in my music journey, I was finally confident enough to record. I met, my now co-owner, Joey. He and I both were just starting out using “DAWS” and learning how to record and mix. We worked together on almost every track we made and grew substantially as artists. Joey and I decided one day to go to a professional recording studio to work on one of the songs he was writing. Last minute on our way there, the engineer for our session drops. Instead of him we got a different engineer, Brad. Little did we know, Brad was going to become one of our best friends and also co-owner of our company.
With all of our experience and a mutual dream, the three of us in addition to DummyTheKid, founded 77th House Productions. In 2024 we officially posted our website and soft launched the company. Throughout that time, I worked on my solo craft. Writing everyday, creating beats, belting lyrics in everything from a corner of blankets to a booth my colleagues and I built in my spare room. I never gave up that dream. After launching the company, I became more motivated to post. I started becoming more thoughtful in my cover arts. I cared more about the lyrics than I did before. I saw the potential in what I could do if I worked hard enough and I went for it. Surprisingly enough because of that one switch up on a random studio session, I got to do things I never thought possible like help run sound for Foreigner. 12 year old Logan would be very proud.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
There are always ups and downs in life. Music became my therapy. When I was at my worst or at my best I always had music. I never have really struggled with music but it’s gotten me through some tough times. Some of those tough times such as break ups can inspires me to make some of my best songs. I always tell myself that things happen so that things happen.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
We are a multimedia production company specializing in corporate and music production. After two years of building a strong client base, we’ve expanded our work into live events, studio production, and visual media. We collaborate with a variety of artists and clients across Chicago, Indiana, Wisconsin, and Missouri, We take pride in our work and want to work with anyone at any skill level.
What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
When I think of those types of qualities in myself, I think of my persistence to push people to the best of their abilities. I find motivation in seeing other people succeed. That’s a big part as to why my colleagues and I started 77th House in the first place. My whole goal as an artist and as a business is to elevate other people as I elevate myself.
