Today we’d like to introduce you to Mac Huffington.
Hi Mac, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I came to Nashville by way of Chicago to go to school. I graduated from Fisk University. Here in Nashville, I found Community. During this time, I found a lack of representation of male impersonators (studs) and Divas (biological born females) in the drag industry. This is how Mac productions was born.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It was a rough road. Many people had never seen or heard of male Impersonators. The Divas were just emerging. This was a touchy subject for the drag queens. It took a lot of promotion and talking one on one with the community and entertainers to bring this to light. It also took several successful male impersonators and diva pageants to make people aware of their equal talent. My pageant winners and the Mac Productions group traveled to different cities and states to promote and perform.
We’ve been impressed with Mac Productions, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?

What do you like and dislike about the city?
I love Nashville very much. I love the people and the community. I also love Nashville because this is where I met my partner Stallion of 28 years.. At this point traffic and parking prices is what I do not like about the city.
