Exploring Life & Business with Matthew Haddix of Matthew Haddix Premium Handmade Goods

Today we’d like to introduce you to Matthew Haddix.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
My story started in a one bedroom apartment in Houston Texas. I started making grooming products on my stove top after witnessing a gap in the market at stores as well as grooming locations. I could not find any products that were naturally made and towards men as well as women. So during the course of the years, I experimented with ingredients and received feedback from family and friends until I decided to pursue selling the products at markets and events. Throughout my travels I tested a lot of brands and noticed flaws and needs that were not included in the other products so it helped me perfect my own.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
So far it has been steadily progressing as the years go by. Some struggles that I have experienced along the way are brand awareness as well as making the right products that are not oversaturated in the grooming markets, I have traveled to multiple states to experiences different cultures as well as different communities that has helped me work on my craft and master small details in the products.
