Today we’d like to introduce you to Nabeel Jacob Salim Husari
Hi Nabeel Jacob Salim, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Hello, my name is Jacob Husari and I live in East Nashville. I began my floor care career in 2022 and instantly fell in love with the trade. The initial spark was how pleased the clients were with our services. It just felt so good to impact someone in a positive way through the hard work that I do on a daily basis. To take someone’s floor, whether it’s carpet, hardwoods, tile/grout, terrazzo, marble, concrete or agglomerate, and clean or restore them to a better or like new condition was not only astonishing to me; a novel apprentice, but to my clients as well. I worked in the field for about a year with a company, and decided to go to school for floor care, so I enrolled in the Institute of Inspection Cleaning and Restoration Certification courses. This is a non-profit organization for the Inspection, Cleaning, and Restoration Industries, and where I truly learned how to master my craft.
The first course I enrolled in was probably the most important because that was the Health and safety OSHA approved IICRC course. At my firm, Nashville’s Best Floor Care and Restoration health and safety will always come first. for our valued clients, their children, relatives, neighbors; and also the world at large. We use nothing but eco-friendly cleaning agents that are safe for plants, animals, fish and people. I then decided to explore the trade even further, taking the water damage restoration and applied structural drying courses and pledged to perform services in these areas with skill, honesty, and integrity to provide the consumer with the highest standard of care and expertise.
Absolutely refusing to rest on my laurels and get to work, I took the carpet cleaning technician course. the odor control course. and the fire and smoke damage restoration course. After that, my firm, Nashville’s Best Floor Care and Restoration became an officially certified firm by the IICRC. I didn’t stop there either. I am proud to say that I have just now passed the Stone maintenance technician certification class as well, and I plan to enroll in even more classes in the near future.
I truly believe that knowledge is power and encourage anyone reading this, whether you’re in the cleaning and restoration industry or an aspiring mechanic, to get educated in your field by an institution. Learn as much as you can about what you do to not only set yourself aside from your competitors, but to provide the best services possible to your clients, friends, family and neighbors. Like I said from the start, I love what I do because I can make a positive impact on people’s lives, but now after learning and retaining all the information I learned in school, I can do the best job possible, and that is why I decided to name my firm Nashville’s Best Floor Care and Restoration, accredited by the better business bureau and serving middle tennessee since 2023.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
There have been a multitude of struggles, but life is a struggle. During strenuous times I typically think of the quote It’s not the hand you’re dealt that matters, it’s how you play the cards. I truly believe in the power of positive thinking and the difference it can make in perspective. For example I graduated high school in 2010 at Beech high, and at that school, like most others, every day would commence with morning announcements, and the epilogue was always the same. “Make it a great day, or not. The choice is yours.” At the time I didn’t know how much that statement would resonate to me later on in life, but even today I hear it somehow, and it’s usually during arduous moments in life. If there’s a problem there’s always a solution, and I will figure it out and be better off having had it happen so I know how to deal with it later on when it inevitably re occurs.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Nashville’s Best Floor Care and Restoration?
Nashville’s Best Floor Care and Restoration began on September 7th, 2023 as Nashville’s Best Carpet Cleaning and Floor Care. Once I decided to start the business I took quite a few courses at the the Institute of Inspection Cleaning and Restoration Certification, or, as we in the industry call it, The IICRC. Once you complete the classes you take an exam and make a pledge to perform services in the areas you studied in the classes with skill, honesty, and integrity to provide the consumer with the highest standard of care and expertise. I wanted Nashville’s Best to truly be the best floor care company in town and today I truly believe it is. Some of the things that set us aside from others is the fact that There are many involved in the cleaning and restoration business that unfortunately do not know the first thing about things like stone maintenance systems, or how to properly run inspections of tile flooring prior to using just any detergent, potentially destroying someone’s costly marble floors, or a wool rug that has sentimental value. Here at Nashville’s Best we care about our client’s properties, belongings, assets, and lives. Yes I said lives. If a technician is cleaning a tile floor and doesn’t put wet floor signs up, notify occupants, clean one half of the floor at a time and create a safety perimeter, I have to say as a certified health and safety technician myself, that that technician is putting people in danger.
The company just celebrated making it one year in business, and around that same day was accredited by the Better Business Bureau. Today we are a certified firm by the IICRC and I personally am certified in seven of the 18 courses that the IICRC offers, and I have every intention of taking every floor care related course that they offer. We specialize in cleaning and restoring carpets, area rugs, hardwood floors, upholstery, stone maintenance, marble, porcelain, terrazzo, agglomerate, granite, grout, and concrete. We also restore properties that have had water damage, extracting the water and applying structural drying regimens to ensure there is no potential for mold growth. We also offer Fire and smoke damage restoration services. In these situations we are extremely empathetic towards the client and their loved ones. I personally have never gone through a house fire, but I have seen the impact it makes on the families in the aftermath, and to be able to clean and restore their homes back to a liveable condition truly makes me proud to do what I do. At Nashville’s Best we are certified to treat odor control situations as well. There is so many services that come with floor care besides carpet cleaning. For example we treat a good amount of older houses that have a cigarette smell from previous tenants that just won’t go away no matter how hard the tenants try.
I want everyone in Nashville to know that Nashville’s Best Floor Care and Restoration is not only here to serve the community, but is apart of the community and has been a lifelong member of this wonderful city. I am so proud to call this place home. To me this is the best city in the world, so I had to call the company Nashville’s Best, and I want to make your floors look and smell the best that they have since they were first installed.
What do you like and dislike about the city?
The thing I like best about our city is the people. That’s what makes a city what it is afterall. Whether they’re new to the area or lifelong Nashvillians like myself, I really love the people. Everyone that has welcomed me into their home, whether it’s for a free estimate or a huge job, has been so inviting and warm. I truly appreciate that southern hospitality that we still have down here. The thing I like least about our city is all the potholes. You need full blown off roading equipment to drive in this town! Just kidding, it’s not that bad.
