Exploring Life & Business with Rich Rossman of Step Country Swing & Dance Co.

Today we’d like to introduce you to Rich Rossman

Hi Rich, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I started Step Country Swing & Dance Co. with my good friend Mike Lavigna in 2021 who also had the same dream as me, to start a little part time country dance business as something fun to do and it blossomed into a weekly/monthly country swing/two step bootcamp, private lessons, Line dancing for bachelorette parties, corporate events, birthday parties, We are Veteran Owned/Operated in Nashville, TN.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
working with a busy day job schedule and also starting a business from the ground up was a challenge at first but becomes a balancing act like anything else in life. Keeping current and professional as possible with details, trends, continuing education, moves etc is also very important.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
We have done a lot of private lessons, graduation parties, birthday parties, wedding parties, corporate events. We’ve been contacted by big names periodically to do events in town. Our favorite events though are ones that just get people moving and happy

What makes you happy?
It makes us happy to work with beginners that maybe were on the sidelines and now are getting confident to get out on the floor and socialize. If that gets one person in a better mental state and improves their quality of life then thats a win for us. Seeing people grow and gain confidence is priceless. Weve had people come through lessons that are now dating etc. Weve taught for first dances for weddings.
