My name is Ruby Alas-Cruz, and I am the proud founder of Sueños Buenos. As a first-generation Latina, with roots in both Mexico and El Salvador, my journey has been shaped by a rich blend of cultures and experiences. I was born in Los Angeles but grew up in Nashville, where I developed a deep appreciation for fashion and the power it has to express one’s identity.
In 2018, I took my first step into the fashion world by launching “Los Kidsz,” a children’s brand that, although it lasted only a few months, taught me invaluable lessons about the industry and fueled my passion for creating something unique. The experience from “Los Kidsz” laid the groundwork for what was to come.
In 2024, Sueños Buenos came to life as the fulfillment of a long-held dream. Drawing from the diverse cultural influences of my upbringing and my experiences in both LA and Nashville, I wanted to create a boutique that offers more than just clothing—it provides a space where everyone can find pieces that resonate with their personal style and story. Our boutique reflects my journey and the dream of making high-quality, stylish, and inclusive fashion accessible to all.
At Sueños Buenos, every piece in our collection is thoughtfully curated with an eye for detail, quality, and style. Our boutique is a place where dreams and fashion come together, and we are committed to offering a delightful shopping experience with exceptional customer service.
None of this would have been possible without the unwavering support of my parents, siblings, son and friends. Their encouragement and belief in my vision have been the driving force behind Sueños Buenos and I am eternally grateful for their love and support.

The journey to launching Sueños Buenos has not been entirely smooth, but every challenge has shaped us into who we are today. Starting off in 2018 with “Los Kidsz,” a children’s brand that only lasted a few months, was one of the first hurdles. Though short-lived, it provided invaluable lessons about the fashion industry, business management, and the importance of resilience.
Balancing my responsibilities as a mother while pursuing my entrepreneurial dreams was another significant challenge. Finding the right work-life balance and ensuring that I could dedicate sufficient time and energy to both my family and my business required a lot of planning, sacrifice, and support from my loved ones.
Additionally, navigating the complexities of the fashion industry, from sourcing quality materials to understanding market trends, was a steep learning curve. There were moments of doubt and setbacks, but these experiences taught me the importance of perseverance and adaptability.
There were times when I felt discouraged, questioning whether I could overcome the obstacles in my path. These moments of doubt were difficult, but they also strengthened my resolve and determination to succeed. I learned that it’s okay to feel discouraged sometimes, as long as you keep pushing forward.
Despite these challenges, the support from God, family and friends has been unwavering. Their encouragement and belief in my vision have been the driving force behind Sueños Buenos. They have stood by me through every obstacle, and their love and support have been instrumental in overcoming the struggles along the way.
Each difficulty faced and lesson learned has contributed to the resilience and passion that define Sueños Buenos today. Our boutique is a testament to the power of dreams, hard work, and the incredible support system that has made this journey possible.
