Exploring Life & Business with Sarah Scarborough of Tea Huntress & Stardust Teas

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sarah Scarborough.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I grew up spending summers in central Finland where foraged in the forest, bathed in a wood fired sauna and swam in a glacial lake under the midnight sun. My maternal lineage taught me how to make medicine from ants and plants and how to live in connection with nature. Life there felt safe, happy and fully alive. This contrasted with life in the US where the pace was faster and the connection to self, nature and others was not as strong.
Once graduating college with a self directed degree in sustainable agriculture, I decided to create a life that felt like Finland. This took me to California, Montana, Alaska and Australasia living off the grid, living in a tipi, tents and a straw bail house and learning herbalism, yoga, reiki, meditation, cooking and baking. Eventually this path led me to tea. I have been working with tea ever since, creating tea businesses to connect tea people and create positive impact. Tea Huntress brings together my dedication to wellness, slow luxury and tea to offer experiences, education and the worlds most rare and potent teas. Tea Huntress has been widely acclaimed for its pioneering work in wellness and named #2 best wellness retreat in the world twice by Harpers Bazaar. I was featured in Forbes for sharing tea as ritual.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The road has been a divinely led one, meaning that it has been led by intuition and a greater calling. That does not mean it has been easy, It has been full of challenges across decades: challenges with people and partners, limiting belief stories, failures and frustrations. Since it is such a prominent thread running through my life, I look at the challenges as personal opportunities and try to stay above the drama of it all at this point. Now I look for alignment and I- we_ can always feel it when we attune to it. Alignment is my guiding light now.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Tea Huntress shares the art and ritual of tea as a way to enrich lives. In addition to the world’s most vibrant teas, we offer and online tea school and transformative events like retreats and Tea Ceremonies, private and corporate workshops.

Whether for medicine, meditation or as time to slow down and recenter, tea cultivates the moments of stillness and beauty needed to align you on your path, connect you to your highest expression and help you create a life you love.

Specifically, Tea Huntress offers tea as a pathway presence and the peace, joy, alignment and freedom found there!

Stardust Teas is launching in October, 2026 to bring Moon Milk to the masses! Moon Milk is an ancient Ayurvedic remedy for calming and wellness.

Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
Resilience- I am continually inspired by tea and so I feel propelled in my work by that excitement and the creativity that is spawned from it. I believe that tea is my gift to share so it keeps me going.
Resourcefulness- In business and life, I am really resourceful. I don’t waste, which keeps me out of dramatic and stressful situations.
Intuition- I listen to my intuition and each of my businesses is like a child to me- so I listen to them to and try to guide rather than force their path.
