Exploring Life & Business with Terran Williams of Simply Sage & Zest

Today we’d like to introduce you to Terran Williams.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
The whole thing was completely unexpected! I made a charcuterie board for a friend’s birthday celebration, and everyone at the party was raving about how pretty it was. I was pretty proud of it myself, as it was the first board I had ever made. I decided to post a picture on Facebook of said charcuterie board, and from there, the rest is history. Within a few weeks, Simply Sage & Zest was born.

I have since provided charcuterie in the form of grazing tables, boards, and personalized cups for many friends, family, and strangers! The support has been phenomenal, and I am still in awe of the way everything has played out.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Starting a small business (in general, but also in such a short amount of time) is definitely something I did not see in my near future six months ago. There have been many learning curves, but only to improve from. To say, it has been easy would be a lie, but I am extremely proud of what has happened in the last three months. Being just me, it has definitely been a handful managing both the start of Simply Sage & Zest while also working full time.

I could not have accomplished the things I have without the support of my friends and the help of my family. My family has always been my biggest supporter, and I hope that I will be able to show them how thankful I am in more than just words eventually.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Simply Sage & Zest?
I stand by the Simply Sage & Zest slogan of “more than just charcutes”. As much as this is a charcuterie company, I strive to help provide whatever your vision is. Weddings, parties, showers, etc. I would love to help create whatever charcuterie, appetizer, and snack creation you are envisioning for your event!

Do you have any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
My dad had to move back to his home state of Wyoming when I was young. There were so many times that he would sneak into town, without me knowing, and surprise me. That coupled with all my trips out to visit Wyoming to visit him and my family up there!

Anything family-related is probably what makes me the happiest.
