Hi Tia, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I’m a Nashville native and a graduate of Middle Tennessee State University. After college, I stepped into property management and quickly realized it was the perfect fit for me! I’ve always loved working with people, and this career allows me to connect with new individuals every day.
What started as a job quickly turned into something I’m really passionate about. Helping someone find the place they’ll call home is a special moment, and I love being part of that process. An apartment isn’t just a place to live, it’s where people feel safe, recharge, and build their lives.
One of the most rewarding parts of my work is watching a community come together. Seeing neighbors meet, friendships form, and residents truly feel at home reminds me why I love what I do!
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It definitely hasn’t been a completely smooth road, but the challenges have helped me grow both personally and professionally. Property management is a very people-focused industry, which means every day is different. You’re working with different personalities, solving unexpected problems, and balancing a lot of responsibilities at once.
Early on, one of the biggest challenges was learning how to navigate difficult situations while still making people feel heard and supported. Whether it’s helping residents through stressful moments or managing the fast pace of the industry, those experiences taught me a lot about patience, communication, and problem-solving.
Over time, those challenges became some of my greatest learning opportunities. They helped me build confidence, strengthen my relationships with residents and coworkers, and become better at what I do. Looking back, those moments are what shaped my passion for creating positive living experiences and strong communities.

Do you have any advice for those looking to network or find a mentor?
Finding a mentor and building a network is all about being intentional and genuine. For me, the best approach has been putting myself out there (attending industry events, joining professional groups, and simply reaching out to people I admire)!
