Exploring Life & Business with Veronica Ordonez of LullaBy Veronica

Today we’d like to introduce you to Veronica Ordonez

Hi Veronica, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I am a psychologist and certified Gentle Sleep Coach. I decided to become a sleep coach because I had my own struggles with my daughter when she was 2. I didn’t know what to do to make our sleeping situation better (I was sleeping on the floor in her room) and I was exhausted all the time. I hired a sleep coach and learned so much about my daughter’s sleep needs and how to create healthy sleep habits for both of us. After working for a few weeks, she was sleeping on her own, I was in my bed, and she was in hers. We were both in a better mood. I decided then that I wanted to do the same and help more parents feel like their best selves. I have been working for more than 5 years now and have helped more than 150 families get better sleep.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
My main struggle is finding the time to work on my business and be a mom at the same time. I have a 7-year-old daughter and a 3-year-old toddler. My toddler just goes to a mommy’s day out program twice a week, and it has been challenging to build and grow my business while also being a stay-at-home mom.

Also, since I moved here from Mexico 7 years ago, English is my second language. Sometimes, I don’t feel confident enough, and I feel like that holds me back from doing more.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
LullaBy Veronica is a coaching business where I help parents establish healthy sleep habits for their babies and toddlers, ages 0 to 5 years old. I offer a range of services, including one-on-one consultations, customized sleep coaching plans, and courses both online and in-person.

All of my services are also available in Spanish.

What sets me apart is my background in psychology, which allows me to deeply understand each family’s unique needs and tailor the plan or service accordingly. I offer the option to sleep train or to coach parents through the early years of their baby’s life, ensuring they can make the most of their baby’s sleep. My most important value is providing families with options. They should not feel forced to change their parenting style or preferences; we can work together to find what is best for their little ones.

Do you any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
Being a cheerleader. I started when I was about 7 years old.
