Today we’d like to introduce you to Vidhi Bhatia.
Hi Vidhi, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I have always been rooted in healthcare. Healthcare is what I studied, and where I began my professional journey. For years, I worked in healthcare administration, drawn to the mission and the ability to make a meaningful impact behind the scenes. When my husband and I, both immigrants, made the decision to leave Miami and move to Nashville, it was not just about a change of scenery; it was about choosing a place to put down our roots. We wanted to build a life in a city that felt full of culture and opportunity.
In the process of making a new home in our chosen hometown, I discovered a deep passion and a real talent for interior design. What began as a personal exploration quickly became a calling. Nashville’s evolving landscape inspired me. The city was growing, changing and redefining itself, and I wanted to be at the forefront of that transformation.
Starting my interior design business was a natural next step, and so, Villa Twenty Four, a full-service interior design studio was born. It allowed me to blend my creativity with the organizational skills that I had honed in corporate. More importantly, it gave me a chance to help others shape their spaces in ways that reflect who they are and what is important to them.
Today, I am proud to be contributing to Nashville’s story, not only as a designer but as someone helping to shape the city’s future—one space at a time.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
When I decided to start my interior design business, I had no experience setting up a company in the U.S., let alone in Tennessee. As an immigrant, I didn’t have a built-in network of extended family to lean on for guidance, referrals, or support. Additionally, stepping into a creative field meant stepping into a world where I did not have a blueprint. It was daunting. However, something I developed over years in my professional career was my resourcefulness. I leaned into that skill. I asked questions. I researched everything, and studied. Most importantly, I started to build my own network here in Nashville, one connection at a time. Through friends, community events, and professional circles, I found the people and resources I needed to navigate the business side of things.
As anyone who runs a small business knows, there are always unexpected hurdles—slow seasons, growing pains, financial stress, and just figuring things out as you go. I had to learn how to build a brand, find clients, and balance creativity with entrepreneurship. However, I was so sure of my vision and path forward, it was easy to keep building on the momentum. Over time, I have grown as both, a designer and a business owner.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
My business, Villa Twenty Four, is a Nashville-based full-service interior design studio. We specialize in both residential and commercial interior design, offering services for furnishings, cosmetic refreshes, new builds, renovations and remodels. Whether it’s a home transformation or designing a commercial space from the ground up, we create interiors that are beautiful and culturally rich without sacrificing function and flow.
My design style is rooted in global influence. My personal background allows me to draw inspiration from around the world, blending textures, materials, and stories to create spaces that feel layered and have character.
What sets Villa Twenty Four apart is the intentional blend of global inspiration with deeply personalized design. At Villa Twenty Four, we offer custom sourcing as part of our design process, whether that means working with international artisans, incorporating one-of-a-kind pieces, or finding just the right elements to tell a client’s story.
Furthermore, thanks to my professional experiences, I run every project with clear communication, thoughtful planning, and a streamlined, client-centered approach. That balance of creativity and structure is at the heart of the Villa Twenty Four experience.
Alright so before we go can you talk to us a bit about how people can work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
I’d love for anyone who resonates with this approach to design, whether you’re starting from scratch, remodeling, or simply looking to refresh your space, to connect with me at Villa Twenty Four.
