Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Well, I’m a Venezuelan immigrant. I lived in New York for three years and then came to Nashville six years ago because of friends. I started like every immigrant, with nothing, from scratch, working several jobs at the same time, sleeping only three or four hours to achieve my goals. In this business, I started driving for Uber and Lyft five years ago. A little over two years ago, I created my own company and now I offer limousine services, transportation for sporting events, weddings, proms, and special events!
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
In my particular case, it has been challenging! First, the language was a barrier, but that part is behind me now! Second, the importance of credit and financial literacy, which I never had in my country; I’m still learning about that! Third, being patient and trusting the process, and above all, believing in what you do.

Is there any advice you’d like to share with our readers who might just be starting out?
First of all, don’t wait for the perfect moment to start! We often say, “When I have a credit score of 800 and $20,000 in cash, I’ll start,” but the answer is, start with what you have, find strategies, and use your ingenuity to begin with what you have, because the perfect moment is now! And second, simply believe in your abilities and in yourself! And finally, and most importantly, educate yourself at all times. Find a mentor or someone who has already walked the path you want to take; that will help you a great deal.
