Today we’d like to introduce you to Carly Ornelas

Hi Carly, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I have been in the industry for about 13 years. I started alongside a physician who I was working with in the ER when I initially got certified in aesthetics. I started Speakeasy Aesthetics 8 years ago with my husband. Our first practice is in Mission Viejo, CA. We opened our 2nd practice in Murfreesboro TN after moving to Tennessee 3 years ago. Today we have been voted the best med spa in Rutherford county 2 years in a row and I have recently been named one of the Top 100 injectors in the United States and Top 25 top injector in both California & Tennessee.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Absolutely not. This field is tough. It changes rapidly and is one of the most competitive fields in the world. If you aren’t looking at what you can learn daily you will be left behind. We have learned to try to prioritize the safety of our patients and really focus on the best possible outcomes. I have learned to sit back and watch the industry and read the science before jumping on the bandwagon

Do you any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
I grew up in a small mountain town in California. I started skiing at 3 years old. My favorite memories are all being on the hill with a group of friends getting fresh tracks after a big snowstorm.
