Hi Darby Pincock & Logan Dodd-Frigo, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Co-owners, Darby and Logan, connected through massage therapy school. We have since embraced a holistic lifestyle, continuing to explore ways to support both ourselves and our clients. Through shared experiences, including yoga training in Bali and further education, we continue to evolve as therapists. We are advocates for body awareness and self-exploration and created Hamsa House as an extension of those values.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It’s a tale as old as time. Starting a new, small business is no small feat. We’ve definitely faced the ebbs and flows of building awareness for our brand and continue to explore new ways for connection. Now that we’ve been open for almost a year and a half, we’ve learned that good things just take time. We’ve had to tap into our patience and never sacrifice our intention for this business. By staying true to ourselves, we’ve found comfort in knowing that Hamsa House is a place that people can rely on.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
At Hamsa House, we offer intuitive massage therapy. Our expression is founded in a holistic approach, taking into account your physical, emotional, and energetic well-being. Our intuitive technique simply means we are listening to your body and honoring what you need, when you need it. We also understand that environment plays a unique role in how we feel in our bodies. The space is designed to invoke comfort in every detail- inspired by the elements of the earth and the five senses. These beliefs allow for safety, trust and discovery to be at the center of every session.
Is there anyone you’d like to thank or give credit to?
We truly couldn’t have done this without the unconditional support of our family and friends. They’ve shared advice, built furniture, painted, handed out business cards and have been there through every milestone. Also, the co-owners of Crescent Salon (where we are located), Lindsay and Audrey, have been the best sounding board and advocates for us. And ultimately, Hamsa House wouldn’t exist without our incredible clients. An endless thank you to each of them for every session, review and referral. We’re just so grateful to everyone who has believed in our little dream!
