Hidden Gems: Meet Dawn Marie Morris of The World Class Training Institute

Today we’d like to introduce you to Dawn Marie Morris.

Hi Dawn Marie, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Born and raised in Warrensville Heights, Ohio, a graduate of Howard University in Washington, DC and blossoming into full adulthood in Chicago, I always sought to do my best to exude beauty, intelligence and love from the inside-out. The field of professional training and development became the place where I could embrace a career that delivers on that goal.

“Graduate”. That was the directive God gave me to leave corporate America and begin The World Class Training Insitute in November 2019.

Having worked in training and development for over fifteen years, leading organizations across a diaspora of industries, the time had come for me to return to business ownership (I owned CareerLink, Inc. for eight years in Chicago), and, akin to graduation from school, move permanently into this new life.

So, The World Class Training Institute, Inc. was formed on November 13, 2019, and we are celebrating two wonderful years in business! The World Class Training Institute has become a vehicle to grow leaders, both in corporate and at the school age, which was beyond my original vision, and it has been phenomenal .

Personally, I have one son, Brian K. Cooper, II, who lives in Charlotte, NC and is an accomplished violinist.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The road has been relatively smooth, yes.

The biggest challenge in running a business is gaining comfort in the face of the unknown. Running a business requires a heavy reliance on faith in God. This is not necessarily a challenge, but a reality that, perhaps, we should be executing daily, anyway.

I spend a lot of time thinking and allowing for ideas to flow on different approaches to growing and building this brand. I have found this to be extremely valuable .

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Our Mission

The mission of the World Class Training Institute is to be recognized as the premier provider of training designed to build human skills capacity in the world.

Our Vision
To refuel and recharge the nation’s potential and current leader pool with training sessions that build their human skill muscle.

Our Values
As our symbol, the lotus flower represents, The World Class Training Institute will stand for health, honor, purity of the heart and mind, long life, and harmony.

Our three training pillars are: leadership, professional, and personal training. We focus on building relationships with businesses and universities on the leadership and professional development side. Some of our key offerings are: Intentional Leadership, Your 86,400-How To Spend It Wisely ( Time Management ), EI over Everything (Emotional Intelligence) and The Delegation Dilemma. We believe in following a training model that transforms through pre-, post- and application-based assessments. We will also spend time listening to an organization’s specific needs so that we speak to the areas of skill gap for their team.

We also support fitness training. I am certified by the National Academy of Sports Medicine as a personal trainer, and I teach dance fitness as it has morphed from my Zumba certification.

We say human capital is your greatest asset, and when you’re better, we’re better!
