Today we’d like to introduce you to Dawn Watson.

Hi Dawn, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I started Dawn’z Dirt B Gone because I love cleaning and being able to help others. This business allows me to do both! I was working a 9 to 5, but I had always dreamt of owning a business. When I first moved to Clarksville in early 2019, I took a leap of faith to start my own cleaning business. I saw a need that I could fill, allowing me to help others while doing it. I spent countless hours marketing and researching pricing and what the different types of cleanings entailed. I started with a few clients and now service several hundred clients. A total win-win! We’re 4+ years in and going strong. I love what I do and all the people I have been blessed to meet and help. I’m looking forward to what the future holds for Dawn’z Dirt B Gone!

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
No, it hasn’t always been smooth sailing. I’m a single mother, and my business was my income, so I was determined to make it work. In the first year, I worked hard to build up my clientele; just as things seemed to be going well, COVID appeared, and my business, unfortunately, took a hit. Business slowed down, and I wondered if I had made the right decision. But, instead of allowing this obstacle to bring me down, I used it as motivation to grind even harder. I’ve learned that running a business can sometimes be like a roller coaster. Some weeks you may book many jobs, and other weeks you may start questioning your life choices. 😅 But with determination, consistency, and many prayers, it is worth it all.

We’ve been impressed with Dawn’z Dirt B Gone, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
We provide residential & commercial cleaning services. We offer move-in/move-out, deep cleaning, new construction, reno clean-up, office cleaning, and storefront cleaning. We are licensed and insured. We take great pride in our work and strive to ensure that our client’s homes and businesses are in good hands. We show up, we work hard, and we are honest. I am proud that we’ve become a household name here in Clarksville and beyond. When your business is being mentioned in a room full of people you don’t know (yet), that is a pretty special feeling.
