Today we’d like to introduce you to Denise Eimerman.
Hi Denise, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Massage by Denise began in the Chicagoland area in 2014 and in 2019 we relocated to the Nashville area. In 2 1/2 short years, we have grown into a full-service massage therapy business in Mount Juliet. We have worked in many different environments including spa, fitness gyms, hospice, chiropractic, and nursing homes. We specialize in therapeutic pain and injury relief massages, sports massages, Sarga barefoot massages, medi-cupping, and pre- and post-surgery massages. We offer on-site chair massages including corporate massages and special occasion massages such as for the bachelorette party. You can typically find us at chamber and sporting events around the Nashville area. We are hopefully opening our own wellness center in the Spring 2022 where we will offer massage therapy, health coaching, and wellness classes for our clients.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Being a licensed massage therapist has been challenging but very rewarding. When I began my massage therapy journey, I had to learn to balance work and family. My first job was working at Massage Envy in the Chicago area where I barely made enough money to pay my bills and hardly saw my husband. Due to the stress, it caused many problems between my husband and I. I was overworked, stressed, hurting, and didn’t think I wanted to stay in the massage industry. After some soul searching, I realized I didn’t have to work myself to death to be a successful business owner. After talking and meeting with a friend I decided to leave the corporate world and work for myself. I was able to set my own hours, see how many or little clients as I wanted to, and created a balance that made sense for me and my family.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Massage by Denise?
I am known for offering therapeutic pain and injury relief massages and specifically medi-cupping services. My medi-cupping services is one thing that separates me from the other licensed massage therapists. You can add this service to a massage or come in for a separate session. I provide great customer service to my clients. When clients come to see me, I go over their health history to make sure there is nothing that will interfere with the massage. After the massage session, I discuss how clients can practice self-care in between the massage sessions. My goal is to help my clients every way I can including providing self-care. Every session I provide to my clients is catered to my clients and their health goals. No 2 massages are the same, as each client that sees me has different health goals. What will work with one client, will not work for the next client. As a business owner, I am constantly seeking additional continuing education classes to help my clients.
Are there any apps, books, podcasts, blogs, or other resources you think our readers should check out?
I like to read any kind of hiking books. I am a huge hiker and like to read about all the new and exciting places to explore in the Tennessee area.
One of my favorite books that I enjoy reading is You are a Badass Everyday by Jen Sincero.
