Hidden Gems: Meet Devon Wagner of Lily & Lace Weddings & Events

Today we’d like to introduce you to Devon Wagner.

Hi Devon, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I started my business after planning my own wedding…twice. My husband was on active duty in the military during our engagement. I had planned a huge wedding, and all the details were ready to go then he got word that they could get deployed, so we had to cancel. Notify all of our vendors and guests. A month or so later, we got word that we could have our wedding, well at this point, everything was canceled so here I went back at it starting from scratch, finding new vendors, etc. This is when I realized that the Lord has given me the strength and qualities to be able to handle planning and coordinating weddings.

I also realized the need for affordable wedding planners/coordinators. With paying for our own wedding, on a military budget, we could not afford a planner. I work full time, managing a credit union, so I decided to start Lily & Lace, to be able to be that affordable planner to couples, I wanted to be able to bless other couples with my talents so that they can have their dream day, stress-free.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Planning weddings aren’t always smooth. You have hiccups along the way just as any other business may have.

However, remaining calm and not focusing on the problem, but more so on how to fix the problem is how to overcome any and all struggles along the way!

Lily & Lace is here to serve others. We are a faith-based, military family. 10% of all of our proceeds to go help military families in need. We specialize in all things weddings and events. To start from the beginning, handle every detail, to come in towards the end to implement what has been put in place to assure your big day runs just as you dreamed it would. Our goal is to take the stress and hassle away from others so they can enjoy their big day! The thing that sets us apart from others is our desire to accommodate anyone who needs our services.
