Executive Chef and Partner Chef Jesse Brown has been catering to elite athletes since 2018, providing clean, fresh food essential for peak performance. He and his wife Jessica are proud parents to three wonderful sons: Maverick, Logan, and Baker. Jesse’s belief in the importance of good nutrition extends beyond his professional life; it’s a philosophy he lives by at home, ensuring his family enjoys wholesome, delicious meals.

In his off-time, Jesse is deeply involved in his community as a youth football coach, leading Maverick’s team, the Franklin Cowboys. His dedication to coaching stems from his own upbringing in a single-parent household, where football taught him the values of teamwork and perseverance.

For Jesse, family and good food are the cornerstones of a balanced and fulfilling life. He treasures moments spent with Jessica and their sons, especially enjoying beach outings and building Lego sets together. Whether in the kitchen or on the football field, Jesse strives to be a positive influence, promoting the importance of health, family bonds, and community involvement.

Kate Goodale, Vice President of Sales and Marketing and Partner at Chefology, lives in Franklin, TN, with her husband James and their three wonderful children: Isabella, Beckett, and Mila. Kate is known for her passion for positivity, problem-solving, and always striving to bring out the best in others.

The Goodale and Brown families crossed paths when Jesse coached Beckett during his first season with the Franklin Cowboys. Impressed by Jesse’s dedication and heart, Kate and James quickly formed a connection with him. Over time, their conversations about Jesse’s passion for feeding athletes sparked the idea to expand his business. With a shared love for food and community, Chefology was born—a blend of Jesse’s culinary expertise and Kate’s entrepreneurial vision.

As a devoted wife, mother, and business owner, Kate balances family life with her role in building Chefology into a national brand, all while staying true to her values of hard work, happiness, and community.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It certainly hasn’t been a smooth road, especially when taking a business in a new direction that feels unfamiliar. Rebranding from Eat Ready Fresh Meals, a company Jesse and his family founded in 2018, was one of our biggest hurdles. The process was far more time-consuming than we anticipated—everything from creating new logos to updating supplier information took a tremendous amount of effort. It was much more labor-intensive than we ever imagined.

As a small business, one of our ongoing challenges is distribution. The cost of transporting refrigerated food is incredibly high, and we’re constantly seeking creative solutions to make it more affordable. Additionally, our size makes it difficult to secure consistent pricing on the food we purchase, which adds another layer of complexity when trying to manage orders effectively.

Staying up to date on food trends is also a challenge. The food world evolves quickly, and it can be tough to keep up while also creating meals that appeal to everyone. We sure know about picky eaters, and balancing innovation with making something that satisfies diverse tastes is no small feat!

On the technology and social media front, it’s a constant struggle to stay relevant and engage with our audience. Maintaining an active social presence takes a significant amount of time, and balancing that with the other demands of the business can be overwhelming.

Despite all the challenges, we’re proud of how far Chefology has come. Each obstacle pushes us to get better, and we’re committed to finding new ways to innovate, grow, and serve our community. With every step forward, we’re building a stronger, more resilient company—and we’re excited for what’s ahead!
