Hidden Gems: Meet Jesse Green of Kalexis Group

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jesse Green.

Hi Jesse, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I am a financial strategist, and I work with small business owners and individuals to help with tax strategies, retirement planning, and wealth accumulation. I started entrepreneurship at age 9 when I wrote letters to all the kids in my class and had there parents call my house if they wanted lawn service. They started calling and my dad and I cut grass all summer. We made enough to take our family to Disney world. It was the best vacation ever!

In high school my sisters and I started a pie business and sold mini pies to the students at school. I would take mini warm pies in the morning and would sell out by second period. We were featured in The Tennessean newspaper, National Enquirer, Paul Harvey Show, and Jay Leno mentioned us briefly on his late night show.

After high school I went to college, and my sophomore year I bought my first investment property. It was flip and I had an HVAC guy work on my unit. He asked me why was I trying to flip houses and not just invest in stocks. I went to the bookstore and bought everything I could find on investing. My junior year I switched my major from entrepreneurship to Finance investments.

After college I started working for a wealthy management firm and saw how wealth was created and protected. I started my own company, Kalexis Group, in 2016.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
After starting small businesses from age 9, I knew entrepreneurship would never be a smooth road. There is a constant thought of, “I could just work for a company and it would be much easier”. In the beginning, the paperwork and approval process can be tedious when getting started. In the financial industry, there is always changing regulation, or technology, or product strategy. I have to stay on top of everything.

As you know, we’re big fans of Kalexis Group. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
Kalexis Group is an independent financial strategy firm. We specialize in retirement income planning, home equity repositioning, and tax-advantaged wealth accumulation strategies, with a particular focus on financial instruments that offer market-linked growth without the risk of market loss. That means indexed universal life insurance (IUL), fixed indexed annuities (FIA), and hybrid strategies that most traditional advisors either don’t understand or don’t offer.

What sets us apart is our commitment to financial education first. We don’t just sell products, but build understanding. Before a client ever makes a decision, they know exactly how their money works, why it works that way, and what they can expect over time. That transparency is the foundation of every relationship we build.

Our clients know us for clear communication, personalized strategy, and a genuine commitment to their long-term financial wellbeing.

What we want readers to know: There is a smarter way to build and protect wealth. You don’t have to choose between growth and security. Kalexis Group exists to show you both are possible, and to walk with you every step of the way.

We’d love to hear about how you think about risk taking?
I am naturally a big risk taker. I’ve invested a lot of money into businesses that were never profitable but I would do it again if I had the chance. Well, maybe not all of it but most! Books I’ve read on successful people and mentors I admire have all been risk takers.

For my clients, I have a hybrid approach to risk. We go through the most money they could lose, which is usually only a small fee. I’ve learned to not risk clients money, even when they claim to be risk takers.
