Hi Kaitlin, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Around the House, Nashville is a byproduct and silver lining of the pandemic! Having left NYC in a hurry, our family arrived in Nashville with very little furniture and significantly more square feet to fill. I was shocked at the cost of nice furniture, lighting, and decor, as well as the wait times.

Mass-produced furniture struck me as aesthetically BLAH and low quality, especially relative to the cost. We wanted unique high-quality pieces in great condition. We looked and looked, and when we could not find a local marketplace, I made one!

Antique, vintage, and high-end contemporary furniture are built to last. Everyone wins! Sellers whose needs or tastes have changed are happy to earn money and see their great pieces go to good homes. Buyers get value and wonderful, unique furnishings to add depth, function, and high design to their homes.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
We have been fortunate to work with lovely clients, who have made this a truly wonderful experience. As with any small business that grows very quickly, we have had some challenges with capacity, and for the time being, have opted to curb our growth in order to ensure we continue to provide great customer service.
