Hidden Gems: Meet Kristina Peck of The KP Kollective

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kristina Peck.

Hi Kristina, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
My story is kind of off the wall. I was a Nurse for 6 years and left in 2020 midway through the COVID-19 pandemic. Truthfully, I hadn’t even given entrepreneurship a thought when I quit. I quit because I no longer feel fulfilled by my profession and no longer had a passion for it.

When my family moved to Charlotte in 2020, I was offered a Social Media Marketing Internship with the Pretty Women Hustle Network. I managed their social platforms and grew their platforms exponentially, and also assisted the CEO with creating and publishing a magazine series, blogs, and more. And that’s where it starts. I loved what I was doing. I worked my up to Chief Marketing Officer where I oversaw the entire marketing department and gained enough confidence to start my own business.

I named my business “KP Marketing” and officially launched and started my journey as a solopreneur in November 2020. Since then, I’ve rebranded into the KP Kollective and have received over 6 awards, and have expanded into a full creative agency in beautiful Charlotte, North Carolina.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Nothing is ever smooth or easy regardless of what you see on social media. I had no business experience whatsoever, so I while I gained a lot, I also lost a lot.

I came to the industry without an extensive background or degree so in order to build my portfolio, I was doing work for little to nothing, and taking as many clients as I could to build my reputation. It’s an exhausting road and still is, but it’s totally worth it!

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about The KP Kollective?
