Hidden Gems: Meet Lacy Clark of Steven Lacy Swimwear

Today we’d like to introduce you to Lacy Clark.

Hi Lacy, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
As a mom of three boys, a bonus boy mom, and a grandma, I know first-hand how important it is to feel confident, comfortable, and covered—especially when juggling the beautiful chaos of family life. That’s why I created Steven Lacy Swimwear, a swimsuit company dedicated to empowering women, moms, and anyone looking to embrace their unique beauty.

Inspired by my grandmother and I’s love and collection of swimwear, I wanted to design swimwear that celebrates all shapes, sizes, and stages of life. Every piece is crafted with love, offering the perfect blend of function, fashion, and a touch of fun. Whether you’re chasing little ones on the beach or taking a well-deserved moment for yourself, Steven Lacy Swimwear has you covered.Thank you for letting us be part of your story. Here’s to sun-soaked days, confident moments, and making waves together!

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has definitely been difficult to break into a $30 Billion industry, especially in the Midwest. We have found ourselves doing more business in Florida, California and next year the Hamptons.

We’ve been impressed with Steven Lacy Swimwear, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?

Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
The quality I feel is most important to the success of my full-coverage swimwear line is confidence. I want every woman who wears my designs to feel beautiful, secure, and empowered without having to sacrifice fashion for coverage. My goal is to create swimwear that combines exceptional quality, thoughtful fit, comfort, and sophisticated design. Being featured in TC Magazine and showcased on the runway has helped validate the vision, but true success to me is creating pieces that make women feel confident every time they put them on.
