Hidden Gems: Meet LeBron Arnwine of A&A Production Studios and Writing Rounds Music

Today we’d like to introduce you to LeBron Arnwine.

Hi LeBron, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I grew up in a very musical family! My Father traveled across the country in a gospel quartet group singing and playing with all of his family. As a young boy, that made such an impression on me and I wanted to be just like them. I was pulled into the musical world from birth and never really looked back. By the time I was three years of age, I had started to play the drums. By age seven, I began learning how to play the piano; And By the age of 10, I was playing piano in church every week along with my younger brother and cousins who played other instruments such as the bass guitar and drums!

I owe my musical development solely to the church because it was there that I was given all the opportunity to grow, make mistakes, and learn from others much better than me; while finding what my personal sound was going to be!

By the time I was a junior in college, I knew what it was that I wanted to do. I knew I was going to be a musical director, but all the while, I had this desire to do music production.

After graduating in 2011 with a degree in Digital Media, I started my Musical Director journey. I was only 22 years old with a big dream but with no way or the “know how” to even get there. Over the course of years, I was blessed to be introduced to some incredible people who are still my mentors to this day! People who taught me so many things, even outside of just how to play a certain chord or how to use recording software.

In 2018, I started a business, a production company, called “A&A Production Studios.”

Again, I had big dreams and some working knowledge, but I still had no idea what it would evolve into. Fast forward to present day and A&A Production Studios has grown into a company that serves so many people from across the country and abroad. Providing services such as Song Writing, Production, Training & Learning, and a service built to provide singers & musicians with opportunities to make money called the “Service Roster.”

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
This journey has definitely not been a smooth road, but I’m grateful for all the road blocks and all the “No’s” that we’ve gotten over the last couple of years.

Some of the biggest struggles have been things like not knowing enough information to get certain things done. However, it has taught our team to just go after it and learn all that we can on our own.

Another area of a challenge has been personnel. Finding the right team of like-minded individuals to carry the vision of the company can be a challenge. But we are SO VERY blessed to have the team that we have. Not only are they skilled and excellent in all they do, there is also such a spirit of camaraderie they all operate in. That can be a rare thing to find in this day and time. So when you find that, you have to hold on to it really tight!

We’ve been impressed with A&A Production Studios / Writing Rounds Music, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
A&A Production Studios is a company built for creatives to thrive in! We stand on these three key principles:

* Serving in Excellence
* Investing in People
* Creating Opportunities

Under A&A Production Studios we offer four primary services:
1 – The Production
2 – Song Writing – “Writing Rounds Community”
3 – The Service Roster
4 – Training & Learning

1. The Production:
We offer production services for artists/singers/musicians looking to record their music! Not just from the studio portion, but even at the conception level with just an idea! We will bring your song to life and offer help in any area of the process where you might need it! Even if you don’t have music to record but you have a gift to sing or play, We provide writing services to be able to customize a song that fits your vocal style and give you content to record that is your own! Which brings us to our next service…

2. The Writing:
We have an online community of songwriters called the “Writing Rounds Community.” It is a community made up of songwriters along with musicians and producers. This community is supported by a label called “Writing Rounds Music.” So every song written within our community has the full potential of getting cataloged, pitched, and even released through our music label!

Writing Rounds was birthed during the global pandemic of 2020. No one was allowed out of their home, so some friends decided to jump on zoom and write some songs as a creative outlet and to have some fun. Little did we know that it would grow legs and begin running out ahead of us. Fast forward to 2 years later, and we now also specialize in “in-person” retreats where creatives from across the country assemble for a weekend to write songs and grow together. We call these retreats the “Writing Rounds Experience.”

3. The Service Roster:
The Service Roster is a platform specifically designed for musicians and singers looking for work! We constantly receive inquiries for musicians and singers to come play and sing at conferences, for artists, at venues, church services, and more.

For the musician/singer, it is a simple application process to apply to be a part of the Roster family. There is no fee to apply and it only takes minutes. After you are accepted, you will get added to our server to see all available opportunities to claim.

If you are on the other end of that and are looking to book and schedule a musician or singer, your process looks similar. You would go to the website and “request” a musician or singer. After filling out all the Information and getting everything to us that we need, we will begin our search to fill the requested position in the inquiry!

4. Training & Learning:
Our last service is pretty simple and straight ahead. Under this service we offer:
* Piano Lessons
* Guitar Lessons
* Drum Lessons
* Vocal Lessons (vocal health and training)
* Consultations
* Song Reviews
* Software Training

Do you have any advice for those looking to network or find a mentor?
Having a Mentor in your life that you trust will always be very important. A mentor is someone that has already walked through the seasons and events that you might currently be in or about to walk into, and can advise you on proper steps to take to be successful. What I have learned to be true is that there are mentors out there that are ready and willing to give advice, but they are not going to help someone who is not willing to help themselves. No mentor is going to work harder for the mentee than the mentee is willing to work for themselves. Mentors tend to recognize the grind and drive in an individual and are attracted to that because they see themselves in a previous season.

So any advice that I would give is to work extremely hard in pursuing your dreams. Understanding that you won’t be able to do it all alone most times. You will need guidance and relationships. So be kind to everyone you come in contact with because you never know who you will meet that might just be the key to your future success.
