Today we’d like to introduce you to Lindsay Cochrane

Hi Lindsay, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I began my radio career in Virginia Beach back in 2007, and have moved all over the country since, I’ve lived in 8 states in 10 Years pursuing my dream of being syndicated in radio, which means National.This is the second time I have lived here in Nashville, first time was back in 2016-2018 where I Worked for 1033 Country and 95.5 Nash Icon. I moved back in 2022 and landed in West Nashville. Although I did start my syndicated Country radio show Life with Lindsay in Dallas in 2019, the best place to be for Country radio is in Nashville so unlike the other radio moves I had made in my career I decided to come back to be in the Mecca for Country Music, Nashville,and I love it here, but it is definelty way more expensive to live here now lol

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Definitely not a smooth road at all, but any road to success is not. I have been fired 8 times in states where I knew no one and had no family or boyfriend to fall back on, so I would have to find jobs in other states pack myself up and be on the road again. Also being an outspoken woman in radio hasn’t been the easiest either, I’ve been overlooked for jobs, asked to do favors in order to get jobs and not got jobs because I didn’t want to do those favors, I’ve been told that women don’t want to hear women on the radio and that women won’t like what I have to say or my perspective on life. All those thoughts by the “suits” that run the stations are real in the entertainment business but I always believed in myself and kept going no matter how hard it was, and BELIEVE me it has been very hard at times!

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Cochrane Productions LlC?
So Cochrane Productions LLC is my productions company that produces and presents all of my shows, the radio show, Life with Lindsay, and my podcast, Beyond the Stage of the 615, appearances, etc. I am a one man band, I produce, prep, execute, host , edit and present all of my work so it can be a lot but it’s worth every minute of it because I own my content. I am known for my unique personality and outlook on life, on my radio show Life with Lindsay, I have segments that I am known for like Lindsay’s Ladies room and Forget you Friday. What sets me apart from other radio shows and podcasts is not only my expertise on interviewing but my perspective and opinions on life that make authentic and relatable and not cookie cutter entertainment. I am most proud of my syndicated radio show Life with Lindsay because that was my dream to be syndicated, so now I just need to win a Marconi!! ( Which would be the equivalent of winning a Grammy) I am in the Business of telling stories and that’s what I do for my clients brands. I offer a unique storytelling strategy for your brand either with a partnership or endorsement of your product on the radio show and podcast that doesn’t seem like a sales pitch to the audience, I also offer emcee and hosting services and appearances at your event for promotion.

What are your plans for the future?
My future plans are to create a show, that hasn’t been done yet in Country radio, which is a two female hosted afternoon show, so I am working on that, would you listen to that?
