Hi Marla, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
SVM Boutique started eight years ago as an online business. We quickly decided we wanted to expand into a brick and mortar and started this adventure in Brentwood, TN. Three years ago, we moved our store to the Capitol View development downtown to be a part of the growing Nashville community. We’ve loved being able to meet so many visitors to our city in our newer location. One of our favorite parts of this area is all of the special events that are continually expanding. We host so many of our own fun events too for our clients.! Some include Braids and Bubbles, Private Shopping Events, and a men’s Bourbon night!
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
With every new venture, there is always a learning curve. Last year definitely pushed us to think outside the lines. We opened the second division of our business and now also operate a wholesale company for other boutiques. We’re proud to say, we have almost 2,000 stores we are partnering with at this time and continue to grow.

We specialize in trendy and affordable pieces for all ages. Our customers are #1 and when we are buying, we always have certain ladies in mind that are just perfect for those items. Our stylists are stellar in knowing what to suggest in making you feel fabulous!
Risk taking is a topic that people have widely differing views on – we’d love to hear your thoughts.
We took a major risk last year when opening our wholesale company. It was a great time for us to learn so much about our own brick and mortar business, make adjustments and also grow personally.
