Hidden Gems: Meet Mary McWilliam of Spirits Operator

Today we’d like to introduce you to Mary McWilliam. 

Hi Mary, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstories with our readers?
For as long as I can remember, I have been able to see and communicate with energies that most people don’t see and choose to ignore. I grew up in a rural area of New Mexico and spent a lot of time alone, and I preferred to be outdoors in nature. As a child, I talked with energies I would consider fairies and often played hide and seek with my spirit guide who has been with me since childhood. I also saw people who were no longer incarnate and knew when they were around me even if I couldn’t see them. It did not occur to me that this was not something everyone experienced. 

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Once I realized I was different I had a desire to fit in and actually became afraid of those things I once considered part of my world. I quieted my abilities and attempted to be “normal”. This is not something one can completely shut down; it is mostly something I chose to ignore. This was especially difficult throughout my teenage years. Not only was I aware of spirits and those types of things, but I also had glimpses into events and situations pertaining to the lives of my friends and family. This made friendships particularly difficult. I made it through, although it was a struggle as it is for most youth. 

Things became better as I grew older and I found the love of my life. After having children, I quickly realized that I would need to understand these energies enough to help guide my children. They turned out to be highly sensitive individuals as well and I wanted to make sure they knew how to handle this in their lives. So, with the help of my sister who is also intuitive, I learned and shared what I now consider the basics to create energetic boundaries and I thought that was the way things would be for me.

Fast forward… I had surgery in 2018 that temporarily took my ability to walk. I was forced to STOP, be quiet, and listen. Because of the events that followed, I “woke” up and remembered who I was, and knew that I had to grow my ability as a medium, the bridge. I needed to step away from fear and into the realm of understanding. 

As you know, we’re big fans of Spirits Operator, LLC. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
Through all of this transformation, I started my business Spirits Operator, LLC. Many know me as Intuitive Medium Mary Bee; I speak for those you may not be able to hear or see. I share their messages of connection and their unwavering love. I feel that it is so important for people to make connections with loved ones on the other side. To set aside fear and to know that they are ok, working through their challenges on a soul level, and bringing forth messages to aid in healing and closure. 

I have found this has led me to others who seek to understand their own abilities and ways to balance the energy around them and communicate with higher forms of energy. As a grateful guide to others, I teach individuals how to grow their own abilities and intuition. It is like watching a flower bloom! Others have come to me with specific life challenges. For this, I offer transformational coaching sessions to help individuals walk through their life and scenarios to help them grow trust within themselves. 

All of the services I offer are available online or in person. My intuitive medium and transformational coaching sessions are offered one-on-one. Whereas my intuitive development courses can be tailored to the individual for a one-on-one experience, or offered in an online group setting with a set curriculum. 

Risk-taking is a topic that people have widely differing views on – we’d love to hear your thoughts.
I have allowed everyone including family and friends to see me as my whole self. Though in the beginning, I was afraid of the pushback I would receive, I knew I needed to do this! Gratefully, I have more support than I could have ever imagined!!! I have to thank my local community including a little shop called Stone Soup, ISC in Fort Walton Beach, FL for giving me a place to jump from. Sure, I have the occasional person telling me I am doing the wrong thing. I realize they are not in the same place I am, and that is ok, they are allowed to feel how they feel. No matter what, I will continue to share the love and bring in the light to those who need it.
