I’m Melanie Taylor-Alexander, a Southern belle originally from Macon, Georgia, now proudly rooted in Mt. Juliet, Tennessee. I’ve always had a love for creating beauty—whether it’s through event design, home decor, or meaningful connections. With a background in Communications, Marketing, Education, and Event Planning, I’ve spent years building trusted relationships and turning life’s special milestones into unforgettable moments.

In 2016, my family moved to Nashville from New Jersey seeking to establish roots and find our place—and we found just that in the welcoming community of Mt. Juliet. It feels good to be back in the South. I’m from Macon Georgia, a city rich in musical history—home to legends like Otis Redding, Little Richard, The Allman Brothers Band, and Jason Aldean. Growing up around that kind of creative legacy gave me a deep love for music and storytelling, which is why Nashville’s rhythm and culture felt like home from the start.

Since settling here, my family and I have loved exploring all that this vibrant city has to offer. From live music and local sporting events to the diverse food scene, Nashville appeals to all of our senses. You can often find me out discovering a new restaurant, attending a concert, or enjoying time with my family around town. I also love sharing our favorite local finds on social media—it’s a joy to spotlight what makes this city so special.

Today, I channel that same heart into my work as a licensed Realtor® in the greater Nashville area. I specialize in helping families—especially first-time homebuyers—navigate the journey of homeownership. I’m not just helping people buy or sell homes; I’m helping them build legacies.

That mission is inspired by my own family’s legacy. My great-great-grandfather, A.D. Tolliver, a former slave turned sharecropper, defied the odds and purchased over 200 acres of land in Georgia. His hard work and vision created a foundation that our family still cherishes today. His story fuels my purpose—to help others experience the power of land and homeownership as a path to generational wealth and rooted legacy.

My husband and I started our family in Atlanta, Georgia, where we purchased our first home as newlyweds. We knew then we wanted to create a home filled with joy, family traditions, and lasting memories. When we relocated to Nashville, we built a home from the ground up on a plot of land that’s brought us tremendous joy and stability. Now, I want to help others experience that same sense of belonging and purpose.

I’ve always been drawn to the design, décor, and staging elements of home life (I’m a bit of an HGTV junkie!), and I use my creative eye to help clients envision what’s possible. The creator in me sees beauty in all things—and all people. I love collecting and creating beautiful things, including strong relationships. That’s why it’s so important to me to develop genuine, trusting partnerships with every client I serve.

At the heart of my business is a belief: that the right home and the right community can change everything. I’m here to help others find their sacred space and write their own legacy—just like my family did.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Returning to the workforce after stepping away to raise my daughter was a big transition. I wanted a career that honored my past experience while also aligning with the relationships and skills I’d gained during that time. Real estate was the perfect fit—it’s fulfilling, allows me to serve my community, and gives me the flexibility to be present for my family. I’m doing work I love while helping others find a place to call home.

What are you most proud of, brand-wise?
I’m proud that my brand reflects who I truly am: warm, polished, grounded in faith, and community-focused. I love that my clients feel seen, celebrated, and supported every step of the way. I’m not just selling homes—I’m building lasting relationships and helping others find joy, security, and opportunity in the process.
