Hidden Gems: Meet Michael Jordan of Fortitude Sports Therapy

Today we’d like to introduce you to Michael Jordan. Them and their team share their story with us below:

During his career as an injury correction therapist, Michael has worked with high school, college, professional and Olympic athletes, musicians, and more. Michael started his college career at the California State University of Northridge with a full scholarship for Division 1 Volleyball. After career-ending injuries, Michael’s passion became finding new and inventive ways to heal people.

He received his Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology from the California State University of Long Beach and started his career as an injury correction therapist. After seeing the unparalleled success of non-invasive injury correction, and being healed himself, Michael decided to bring this one-of-a-kind therapy to Middle Tennessee.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
It hasn’t been easy, but it’s been worth it. Covid-19 was a big road bump. I was able to pivot some during this season and am excited to keep treating the people of Nashville.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Fortitude Sports Therapy?
One area I specialize in is the ability to find the root cause of someone’s muscle and joint pain. Typically pain and disfunction go hand in hand. Disfunction exists when there is an imbalance or asymmetry in the body.

Asymmetries can cause a muscle or joint to work harder which causes it to wear out quicker. When the joint/muscle wears out, the result is pain. The way to solve the root cause of pain is to identify these imbalances and correct them.
