Today we’d like to introduce you to Naomi Bello.
Hi Naomi , can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I’m originally from Cuba, where I studied medicine for four years. I was especially drawn to pediatric oncology, because I’ve always felt called to care for people’s health.
In December 2022, I moved to the United States and settled in Nashville. Like many immigrants, I had to start over. I looked for jobs but couldn’t find the right opportunity, until I came across a water purification company on social media. I went to the interview thinking it was just about selling home water systems, but I quickly realized it was much more than that.
As I learned about water treatment and the contaminants in our water, and how some of them are linked to certain health conditions, my passion for medicine came back to life. I saw that I could keep doing what I always wanted to do: help people protect and restore their health, starting with something as essential as the water they drink every day.
Since 2023, I’ve been an independent Puronics distributor. I started on my own, learning sales, marketing, and content creation while working a part-time job. As I grew, I rebranded my business as Agua con Naomi, because for me it’s about trust and connection with each family.
Today I offer free in-home water analysis to families across Nashville, Antioch, Murfreesboro, and beyond, many of them Spanish-speaking, and I help them choose the right system for their home. My next goal is to build a team of local entrepreneurs who can grow with me, because when one of us grows, we can lift others too.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
No, it hasn’t been a smooth road, but every step has shaped who I am.
I arrived in this country with nothing. To get here, I crossed four countries guided only by the GPS on an old phone whose battery barely lasted. That journey taught me what courage really means. Today, whenever I feel like giving up, I remember how brave I was to make it here, and that gives me strength to keep going.
Starting over from zero and building a business at the same time hasn’t been easy. I’ve had to learn to manage my energy wisely, because I’m working, learning, and building all at once. I’m still learning English, still growing, and still building every day.
But when I think about everything I left behind to create better opportunities for myself and my family, quitting is simply no longer an option.
As you know, we’re big fans of Agua con Naomi . For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
Agua con Naomi is a water purification business serving families across the Greater Nashville area, including Nashville, Antioch, Murfreesboro, and Lebanon. As an independent Puronics distributor, I help families understand what’s really in their water and find the right solution for their home.
We specialize in free in-home water analysis, whole-house water treatment systems, and reverse osmosis drinking water systems, for both residential and commercial clients. Our systems come with a lifetime warranty and monthly payment options, so clean water is accessible for more families.
What sets us apart is the human connection. My background in medicine shapes the way I work: I don’t just sell a system, I educate. I explain how water quality connects to everyday health, from the water you drink to the water you cook and bathe with. Many of the families I serve are Spanish-speaking, and being able to guide them in their own language builds trust and helps them make informed decisions.
What I’m most proud of is the name itself. Agua con Naomi means “water with Naomi,” because I want every family to feel they have someone they can trust by their side, not just a company. Our motto, “El agua que tomo se nota” (“the water I drink shows”), reflects what I believe: when you take care of your water, you take care of your health and your family.
I want readers to know that knowing what’s in your water is the first step, and that first step is free. Anyone in the area can request an in-home water analysis at aguaconnaomi.com or find us on social media at @aguaconnaomi.
What do you like and dislike about the city?
What I like best about Nashville is its people and its sense of community. This city welcomed me when I arrived with nothing, and I’ve found so much support along the way. I’m especially grateful for the organizations that help Hispanic entrepreneurs build strong businesses and grow their skills, like Conexión Américas, Ella program, and Clark Construction’s Strategic Partnership Program. Programs like these make a real difference for people like me who are starting from zero, and they show that Nashville is a place where anyone willing to work hard can build something.
What I like least is probably the traffic and how much the cost of living has gone up. As the city grows, it’s becoming harder for many working families to keep up. That’s one of the reasons I care so much about making our services accessible, with a free water analysis and monthly payment options, so every family can take care of their health.
