Hidden Gems: Meet S-ROCK of RockView Entertainment

Today we’d like to introduce you to S-ROCK.

Hi S-ROCK, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I started out as a lover of the art. Initially doing music for fun until one day I went to the studio with my god-brother to support him. One thing lead to another and I found interest in the business of music, leading into the business of entertainment and kept going from there.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
No, it has not been a smooth road. The main struggle was learning the business and how to navigate independently. Being that I had nobody that was there to teach me, I was basically learning on the job with trial, error and studying. Outside of that, the biggest struggle has been selecting the right people to work with. A lot of people want to handle business but not a lot want to do the work to say the least.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
RockView Entertainment is a business that I started for myself after failed attempts to work with others. After a few failed attempts with other companies, I thought it would be better for me to work for myself and deliver S-ROCK’s vision of entertainment. That is where the name ‘RockView Entertainment’ comes from. I am a businessman who is a professional artist/creative, so it was most suitable for me to start my own thing and push forward the way I see fit. What sets me a part from others, is the fact that I am able to handle my business while still being a professional artist/creative. By being that way it allowed me to learn various positions that are valuable to pushing things forward and because of that, I can use my perspective from various angles to do the best that I can do for what I do. Most would think that it’s easiest to have a team but in my case. it’s easiest being ‘Mr All In One’ and working with those I need to work with for things I need done in certain areas. Although I will work with people, it helps that I know how to work so many positions allowing me to know who/what I’d be looking for with people.

What I am most proud of about my brand is that it’s a brand that stands alone. A brand that through all of the ups and downs, the reputation is build off of the value and respect of the work that has been done. I take pride in all of the struggles because the struggles made me and the brand what we are without any person or brand being able to take credit for it whether it’s good or bad credit.

RockView Entertainment is not just about music, it’s about entertainment. Yes, music is what started it but business and entertainment as a whole is what’s helping it grow. Within RockView Entertainment you will find music, books, events, video production, merchandise and much more.

What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
The most important lesson that I’ve learned along my journey is, you have to rely on you. Nobody is coming to save you, try saving yourself first.
