Hidden Gems: Meet Shaye Watson of Confetti Pop

Today we’d like to introduce you to Shaye Watson.

Hi Shaye, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My name is Shaye! I started Confetti Pop in December of 2021. I’ve always been crafty and have always loved to decorate. I had wanted to begin making a living off of my talent; however, I didn’t really know where to start.  So my craft business was a little delayed. Then I began to get interested in balloon artistry right before my daughter’s first birthday. I began researching and practicing the techniques and instantly fell in love. Shortly after, Confetti Pop was born after I decorated my daughter’s first birthday. I  got straight to work by researching the balloon artistry and event planning industry over the past couple of years. I began to make my props as I was building up inventory, and just learning the business, I started to book events for companies and people having big birthday parties, and it’s been growing every since. I have built this business from the ground up, and it’s still growing. I started my business with just balloon artistry for events; now, we have grown to provide complete event design and execution for all types of events, such as birthday parties, baby showers, dinner parties, and even corporate events.

Would it have been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It hasn’t been just easy for me, but it’s been something I am happy to do the journey with. Starting a business will not be smooth, but it’s been a comforting road as I am doing something I love. When starting a business, you must learn your industry’s ins and outs. I always like to remember that success isn’t going to come overnight, but it will come. One of my biggest struggles is just giving myself grace about where I would like my business to be and my vision for it and not rushing the process.

Confetti Pop is an event planning company. We specialize in complete event design, luxe balloon installations, and event rentals. We work with events of all types, such as birthday parties, bachelorette setups, dinner parties, baby showers, corporate events, and weddings. We’d like to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you.
I’ve experienced both, but faith is big for me and my business. I don’t rely on good luck or bad luck perspectives. But ultimately, life is good.
