Today we’d like to introduce you to Tony Zuazo.
Hi Tony, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I have been in and around the game of basketball since I was in grade school. From playing as a youth to an adult. Basketball referee for over 10 years up to the high school level. Additional coaching youth and adult basketball teams for over 11 years. I have a passion and respect for the game. We saw a void in the market for a place to be able to train and hone your basketball skills. The idea was born in early 2023 while having pizza in a local restaurant.
Swish Works was founded with the mission to redefine what a basketball training facility could be. We envisioned a space that not only offered top-tier physical training but also fostered a sense of community and personal growth. Our goal was to create a place where athletes of all levels could thrive, from beginners to elite competitors.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Anyone who has a small business will tell you it is demanding work and not always a smooth road. As a small business owner, you are responsible for everything and sometimes you must learn your way through things, and you get things wrong. The basketball business is very transient with young players starting, players no longer in sport and multi-sport players who play seasonally. We strive to meet our athletes where they are and work to help them on their basketball journey. We are focused on providing excellent experience for our athletes.

Our athletes are our priority. We want to see all our athletes succeed.
